Mori explained paired you all up and what you each had to do.

Dazai and Chuuya were meant to infiltrate the Yakuza's base and steal valuable information regarding the illegal underground market, while you and Saito would distract the guards. Then you'd have to somehow get past their special martial arts team, find the security room and destroy all evidence of you guys' presence.

It's been almost a week since Saito joined the Port Mafia and surprisingly enough, you've been enjoying his presence lately.

Partnering up with Saito wasn't bad at all for you. However, your two other partners were seething in rage. Usually, your brother and Dazai couldn't stand the mere thought of working together, but now they both could not seem for care less of each other's presence. Of course they still hated it and argued over any minor issue, but for once they both put their dislike aside to agree on something.

No way in hell were they going to leave you and that bastard alone together.

So the two devised a plan. Although it was already a routine for Dazai, Chuuya proposed to follow you.

You and Saito casually strolled through the city of Yokohama in silence, occasionally licking on your ice cream. He suggested this outing in hopes of getting to know you better which Mori encouraged, so you didn't really have a choice. 

The both of you conversed after finishing your dessert, when you saw a glimpse of brown hair in the corner of your eyes. You stopped to turn back but didn't see anything.

"What's the matter?", Saito questioned as he looked down at you.

You stayed silent still observing that direction before you responded, "I thought I saw someone I know. Must've been a mistake tho."

"Right...", he glanced to the side with a knowing smirk, his head raised high as he held back a laugh.

Saito already noticed Dazai following the two of you, but decided against telling you for now. He wanted to see how far Dazai was willing to go for you.

"Well, let's continue our walk shall we?", Saito held out his hand for you to hold.

You stared at it then up at him. He wore a small smirk on his soft lips. You looked back at the corner from before then turned to face Saito again.

"Yeah. Let's go."

Your white haired companion gawked in shock as you walked ahead, completely disregarding the hand he held out.

He chuckled lightly to himself before taking long strides to catch up to you.

Behind the corner, Dazai released a sigh of relief.

"That was close.", he mumbled lowly.

"YOU IDIOT!", Dazai heard through his earpiece, "I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU'D BE INCONSPICUOUS!"

Chuuya yelled angrily at Dazai through his phone. They only ever used this method of communication during missions, but to them this current situation warranted a breach of the Mafia Code.
