Chapter 61 The End of Vacation
The three members of the Tang family stayed in the village until the fourth day of the twelfth lunar month.

Tang Shi ran out to play with his friends. Tang Shan stayed in the back mountain every day these days. Tang Ruanruan was the only one at home. She was sitting in the yard basking in the sun.

Perhaps it was because they knew that Lin Ling's attempt to borrow money had failed, or perhaps it was because other people in the village did not have that idea. In short, Tang Ruanruan had been living a leisurely and comfortable life these days. No one in the village came to disturb their home, and the puppy they picked up a few days ago gradually became lively under their feeding.

Now the puppy Diandian can understand her own name. Whenever Tang Ruanruan calls Diandian, she will poke her little head out of the nest, put her head beside the nest, and look at Tang Ruanruan with her ears pricked up. She is so adorable.

Tang Ruanruan clapped her hands at Dian Dian, and the little black dog climbed out of the den on its four short legs. Using all four legs, its two big ears swung back and forth on its head, it stumbled towards Tang Ruanruan.

He squatted in front of Tang Ruanruan, tilted his head and looked at the hostess with his big black eyes.

Tang Ruanruan held Diandian in her arms. The puppy was obviously a little heavier than the day she first picked it up.

The puppy was a little uncomfortable with its body suddenly hanging in the air. It stretched its legs in a daze, but stopped struggling when it found that it was being held by its owner.

The puppy nestled quietly in Tang Ruanruan's lap, with the girl's hand gently touching its head. The puppy squinted his eyes comfortably, opened his mouth, and made a comfortable purring sound in his throat.

The sun was shining in the yard, making people drowsy. The puppy's black fur absorbed enough sunlight, and it nestled in Tang Ruanruan's arms like a warm hand warmer. While Tang Ruanruan was caressing the puppy, she fell asleep leaning against the chair.

Noticing that the hand above its head had stopped moving, Diandian moved his ears in confusion. Before the hand above its head moved, the little black dog moved its paws, found a comfortable position, and closed its eyes.

The sound of Tang Shan opening the door when he returned home startled Diandian. The puppy opened his eyes and stared at the door motionlessly. When he saw it was a familiar person, Diandian pricked up his ears, swung his tail behind him, and gently patted Tang Ruanruan's leg.

The puppy licked Tang Ruanruan's hand gently, and Tang Ruanruan woke up at the wet touch.

She touched Dian Dian's head and put the puppy down from her arms. Dian Dian was still a little reluctant to stay in her arms. She followed Tang Ruanruan's legs around, with its tail swaying behind her like a windshield wiper.

Calculating the time, it was time to cook dinner. Tang Ruanruan heated up the soup and had already kneaded the dough and put it aside.

Tang Shan made two small wooden bowls for the puppy. Tang Ruanruan added water to the bowl, scooped a spoonful of soup into another bowl, and broke off half of the steamed bun made at noon and put it into the soup.

When Diandian saw that there was food to eat, she stopped sticking to Tang Ruanruan and squatted in front of the bowl, slurping her food.

After Tang Shi came back, Tang Ruanruan put the noodles into the soup, and the simple chicken noodle soup was ready.

While eating noodles, Tang Ruanruan told Tang Shi to prepare to say goodbye to his friends and pack up everything in the evening, as they would go to town to take a bus back to open the store tomorrow morning.
