Somewhere in Atlanta

Gigi and Shanae slumped on a bench outside a packed strip mall, their luggage by their sides, scrolling through their phones with tight jaws and slouched shoulders. Shanae, the younger of the two, was tall, petite and feisty, rocking a high ponytail of long braids. She had on a cropped white hoodie, ripped jeans, and fresh white and gray Samba Adidas with red stripes. Gigi, thicker and shorter with more grown-woman curves, wore her hair back in a sleek black ponytail that framed her face. Her black jumpsuit perfectly hugged her body, especially her thick thighs and round booty, while her crispy white Air Forces gave the look an extra edge.

"I told you we should've flown out yesterday!" Shanae muttered, her tone tight with irritation. "Now we out all that money... And no concert!"

Gigi exhaled hard, rubbing her temples. "I know, Shanae. I know..."

The energy between them was thick with disappointment as they watched people come and go. Everyone else seemed to be having a much better day. People moved around them, going in and out of stores, their day-to-day movements only making the sisters feel more stranded.

After a while, two sleek black SUVs rolled up, and a gang of guys stepped out, all rocking designer fits with what looked like security in tow. One of them, sporting Amiri jeans and a white Amiri tee, glanced in their direction but didn't approach. Instead, he said a few words to his boys and shot the girls another quick glance before heading into one of the luxury stores.

Shanae noticed the flashy group of men but said nothing, her mood was too sour to care. Gigi glanced at him too, but they both stayed focused on trying to figure out their next move.

"Why don't we just head back home?" Shanae finally said, her frustration coming out in a sigh. "Ain't no point in hangin' around here."

The girls sat in silence, still in disbelief at their bad luck. Before long, the guy from earlier walked back out of the store, this time lingering a bit longer near them. He didn't approach right away, just stood by one of the SUVs, casually scrolling on his phone while security loaded up bags.

"Look at him," Shanae whispered, giving Gigi a side-eye. "He's been eyeing us since he got here."

"Probably just tryna be nosy," Gigi replied, shrugging it off. She wasn't in the mood to entertain anyone, especially after the day they'd had.

Eventually, the guy made his way over, slow and casual, as if he wasn't sure how they'd react. "Y'all look like y'all goin' through it," he said, his voice smooth but not overconfident.

Shanae cut her eyes at him. "Yeah, somethin' like that." She replied a little too bitter.

Gigi stayed quiet, watching him with a raised eyebrow. She wasn't one to fall for a smooth line, especially not today.

He chuckled, sensing the tension but unfazed. "What's got y'all so down?"

Shanae crossed her arms, clearly not in the mood for small talk. "We were supposed to be in Houston for a Chris Brown concert, but our flight got canceled. Now we stuck here."

The guy raised an eyebrow, genuinely interested now. "Chris Brown?" He asked, "Y'all not gon' believe this shit but... You might be in luck. I'm one of his people. We actually about to dip out soon to the jet."

Gigi glanced at Shanae, both of them clearly skeptical. She finally spoke up, her tone cool. "Yeah? So why you over here tellin' us all that?"

He shrugged, staying calm. "Just thought I'd offer some help. If y'all need a ride, I could see what I can do to get you to Houston... Since we goin' to the same place."
