The air inside the arena was thick with anticipation. The buzz of final preparations, lighting checks, and sound adjustments filled the backstage corridors, but beneath all the last minute tour excitement, a different kind of tension was brewing...

Shanae bounced by her sister's side, completely oblivious to the weight Gigi was carrying. They were here to support Chris at his last show of the tour, but all Gigi could think about was how everything had been spiraling out of control. Rico's coldness and her own tangled feelings had her head spinning.

She hadn't spoken to him since their awkward phone call the day before, right after landing in LA. Now that they were in the same space again, her chest felt tight and her hands felt clammy.

"You okay?" Shanae's voice broke through her thoughts.

Gigi forced a smile. "Yeah, just a little nervous."

Shanae grinned. "Girl, it's just a show. Besides, you've seen Chris perform a million times by now." She winked, hinting at their sexual encounters.

Gigi nodded, but she knew it wasn't about the show.

They reached the VIP lounge, and Gigi spotted Rico near the entrance, talking with some of him and Chris's boys. His back was turned, but she could feel his presence like a weight pressing down on her chest.

Gigi took a deep breath, trying to gather herself before she attempted to walk over to Rico. She wanted to at least acknowledge him and say "hi". But just as she hyped herself to move towards him, she felt someone grab her arm.

"Hey."

Gigi turned to see Chris standing behind her, his tall frame leaning casually against the wall. He had that confident smirk, the one that always made her heart skip a beat, but there was something different in his eyes tonight—something intense, maybe even possessive.

"You ready for tonight?" he asked, his voice low, just for her.

She smiled softly, trying to push past the nerves. "Yeah, of course. I can't wait to see you perform."

Chris's eyes never left hers, and for a moment, the noise of the arena seemed to fade away. He stepped closer, his body almost brushing hers. "G... I was thinkin' about last night all day," he whispered, his voice sending a shiver down her spine. "I need some more of that Escalade pussy."

Gigi's breath hitched, the memory of their night in the Escalade flashing through her mind. But before she could respond, she caught sight of Rico out of the corner of her eye. He had turned around and was now watching them—his expression unreadable but his eyes locked on the two of them.

Chris noticed too, his smile fading slightly as he straightened up. He glanced over at Rico, then back at Gigi, a knowing look passing between them.

"I'll see you after the show," Chris said, stepping back but keeping his gaze on her a second longer.

"Good luck." Gigi nodded with a smile, as he walked away toward the stage. She glanced back at Rico, who was now talking to someone else, but the tension in the air didn't go unnoticed. He hadn't said a word to her, but she could feel the weight of his unspoken questions hanging over them.

The stage lights dimmed, signaling the start of the show, but all Gigi could think about was the mess she was in. She turned her gaze to Chris, who had his eyes closed now, quietly hyping himself up before making his big entrance. The chemistry between them still buzzed in the air. But then her gaze drifted back to Rico. He was standing off to the side, still caught up in conversation, but his eyes kept flicking toward her.

The guilt gnawed at her. She knew she couldn't keep this up—Rico wasn't blind, and Chris wasn't patient.

Something had to give.
