Waking up the next morning I didn't feel JJ's arms around me I sat up but I was in the bed alone odd I slowly got out of bed and went to take a quick shower and got dressed I headed downstairs and heard talking in the kitchen it was JJ and my mom it sounded like they were talking about our relationship. "Even when were fighting to survive on the island, all I could think about is how I can no longer be a hero I have someone who needs me here that I love the most" JJ said I smiled when I heard that "you really love my daughter JJ and she really loves you too, you two are the perfect match, please tell me you said yes to moving in here?" My mom asked I'm very curious about his answer too. "I hated my house, I hated it, I hated everything in my life but I couldn't ever hate her from the moment we met I felt something new, I wanted to push her away, I wanted to hurt her so she would leave me. But nothing worked she would still comfort me even after all the hurtful things I said to her, why me? Why did she choose me? Than she asked those three words that hurt me more live with me" he said I had no idea asking him to live with me hurt him this much. "JJ the way you two look at each other is true love even when you guys were just best friends I could see the love that you have for her and she has for you that kind of connection doesn't happen for everyone definitely not for me you two have a great future and you deserve to be a home that's full safety and happiness so don't just say yes for her say yes for yourself" my mom said "yes I want to live here with not just for Tristan but for you too Mama L to have your support and your love is everything I ever wanted" JJ said sounding like he was about to cry as was I now that he was going to be living with me I decided to now walk into the kitchen and when I did JJ was hugging my mom who was smiling "good morning am I interpreting something?" I teased "oh good morning sweetie I was just talking to JJ and scolding him for not coming through the front door again" she said JJ face tensed up and I laughed had a feeling she knew about that "it was late when I got here and I didn't want to give you a heart attack Mama L" he said she just shook her head I giggled and sat on one of the chairs at the counter "good morning angel" JJ said I turned my head and he was leaning on the counter beside me smirking at me "good morning sweet boy I was sad when I woke up and you weren't there" I said pouting he smiles and leans closer "I would of woke you up to shower with me but you looked so peaceful sleeping I didn't want to wake your adorable face up" he teased I blushed than decided to mess with him "ok than I guess no good morning kiss than oh my is that my phone I hear" I said jumping off the stool I didn't see what his face looked like but I assume it was shocked and heartbreak (pretend) I picked up my phone from the charger and saw I had 10 text messages from Kiara and Sarah I read them all "oh JJ we have to go to the chateau Sarah has called a meeting Kie is getting Pope so we got to go" I tell him he looks at me shocked but nods we said bye to mom and ran outside to his motorcycle "why do you think Sarah called a meeting?" I asked as he took the keys out of his pocket and started the engine "if I had to guess it has something to do with Rafe and the cross in which case it's not going to be good news" he said hopping onto the bike I sighed and climbed on behind him wrapping my arms around his waist he turned his head to look at me "ready my love?" He asked smirking at me I smirked back and pecked his nose "ready my prince" I said "wait for me" someone said we turned our heads and Caitlin was running down the driveway towards "oh finally done hiding from your extremely obvious feelings for Kiara" I tease her JJ chuckles quietly "haha actually your boyfriend is the one that convinced me to stop avoiding my own stupid insecurities about my feelings and just pretend for now that everything is normal" she said I looked at JJ shocked and a little impressed that he's the one that got her to come out of her room and face her feelings seeing where he was just yesterday "well than in that case jump on but hold on tight he tends to go very fast on this thing" I say she laughs and jumps on the bike behind me JJ turned on the engine and I wrapped my arms tightly around his middle and nuzzled my head into his shoulder suddenly we zoomed off to the chateau. "When I went back to Tannyhill, Rafe was on the phone with Ward, and he just kept saying, "my thing, this is my thing." he had to be talking about the cross." Sarah tells us as we sat around the château in silence. "absolutely." Pope says looking at the blonde. "And he's coming into Wilmington tonight at eight o'clock. and it's being shipped by train to Raleigh from there, this is our chance to get it back." I say looking at everyone. " You get any other information?" Pope asked Sarah "Sarah got the cargo number." Kie said as she ran her fingers through her hair pretty sure she was looking at Amy who was just standing in the corner being silent. "Okay, well, that's a start." "Yeah" "I mean they're definitely fencing that shit off as we speak. so we should probably get a move on." JJ reached for my hand tangling our fingers together. "Sarah, you hear from John B?" "No, I mean, he's probably off somewhere with his dad. but the problem is they have the Twinkie" "our transportation" "um.." "I could ask Heyward for the truck." Pope looked at his friends. "Uh, what?" JJ looked at him, "yeah, that's gonna go well." "I don't think Heyward will let us after what happened in Charleston." I say "I know, but we have no other option" Pope says. "I also gotta convince my parents to let me go to Wilmington tonight. Tristan and Amy you think you guys can help me?" Kiara stood up facing me I nodded. "Yeah, we're help and maybe even be your secret weapon your parents have always had a soft spot for me and my mom Caitlin might be tough though" I declare.
