Shrimpo winced, the unnecessarily bright fluorescent lights of the ship cutting through his vision, painting the world in an unbearable white.

He HATED lights! He hated this whole thing- Dandy's twisted idea of retrieving some damn crystal. He hated crystals. He especially hated Dandy.

Shrimpo was in a submarine, along with 4 other toons. Vee, Goob, Scraps, and Finn. They had all been sent down here by Dandicus- 'Dandy', as he forced the other toons to call him.

Dandy had forced all of them into this mission with minimal instruction; Simply follow the Navi-Path and retrieve the crystal.

Shrimpo had heard stories about toons sent down here- He hated stories, but being cramped in an elevator meant there wasn't anywhere to get any peace and quiet.

The new crystal operation was the talk of Gardenview. Dandy's work, of course. He wanted it to be known. What else could be expected of him?

It had seemed the ichor operation blew up, and he eventually gained enough funds by selling ichor to get his hands on this facility called 'The Pressure Facility.'

Shrimpo didn't quite know who would trust a whole organization to Dandy of all people, but he didn't really care. Dandy started taking toons down 11,000 miles underwater, and sent them on a mission to retrieve a crystal in an abandoned Pressure Facility.

It was unsure of why exactly Dandy needed the crystal, or why this was his new sick project, but that just left even more room for hushed whispers and rumors to float around.

Though no one wanted to talk to Shrimpo one-on-one, (for obvious reasons), he was able to catch the stray sentence or two during his time extracting ichor.

"No one who's went down there came back alive."

"Of course he wasn't just happy with the ichor operation."

"Dandy stops calling them toons down there. They're... expendables.."

"Any toons sent down here..

They don't come back."

Though he would never admit it to anyone, Shrimpo was.. scared. He wanted to come back alive. Of course, he wasn't sure if anyone else in this forsaken place wanted him to survive.. But he did. He really did.

Whatever horrors down here, he'd have to face. No matter what.

A hissing sound interrupted his thoughts as the submarine's door began to creak open. It was worn and rusted with age, and Shrimpo hated the harsh squealing sound it made as it lowered open.

The submarine shook with the effort, and the door soon transformed into a bridge that closed the gap between the submarine and platform, and the surrounding toons immediately stepped off, looking around. It was freezing down here. Shrimpo hated the cold.

Scraps peered over to Vee. "It's really gonna suck for you here, huh?" She asked, her voice carrying a hint of genuine concern.

"I don't need your pity," the electronic toon quickly answered. She adjusted her bowtie, not wanting to look at Scraps. "Let's get moving," Vee muttered.

Goob paused in front of a table. "Hey! I think I found a keycard!" He called, a large smile on his face. Shrimpo hated how clueless Goob was. He couldn't stand it.. How was he so happy all the damn time?

Finn wasted no time, arriving right next to Goob. "You really cracked the code- Get it? Like a keycard? Cracking the code?"

The pun was met with silence. After a few moments of quietness, Vee cleared her throat. "Alright then, unlock the door."
