For several months, Aurora Greene had been working on her best friend's wedding. And because luck is on her side, she has been spending those several months working together with a person she disliked a lot, and yes, it is who you think it is.
Charles leclerc.
"I don't like the coloring," Charles looked at the color of the napkins. "It's too plain."
Aurora slowly turned to him, "I'm sorry, is this your wedding? No! So shut up and let me choose."
"Aren't the groom and bride supposed to choose everything?" He glared at her.
She gave him a sarcastic smile before walking away, "uh, hello? If you don't mind, I'm the best man and we were told to keep each other's opinions in mind."
"Well, Charles. Your opinions aren't that great." She stopped waking, "you say the napkin is too plain, do you want a neon pink for the wedding?"
Charles started thinking and imagining but Aurora stopped him, "no! You don't want that, it's not a quinceañera, it's a wedding! Where are these two anyways?"
"Now you're asking." He rolled his eyes.
Lando and Isabella walked into the room, him holding the girl's bag with a sweaty face. Aurora looked at him with a judging stare before turning to her best friend, "why are you late?"
"Hello, Bella. How are you? I'm fine, a little bit of traffic there and then." Isabella mimicked her voice.
"Funny."
She winked at Aurora before sighing, "where are we with decorations?" She asked.
"Well," Aurora turned to Lando. "You should've chose Daniel as a best man, because him—" she pointed at Charles, "—he wants neon pink as a napkin."
Charles' jaw dropped, "no I don't!"
"Okay, Charles, what the fuck?" Lando rolled his eyes.
"Mate, I swear I never said neon pink. She's the one that brought it up." He shrugged, blaming the girl.
Isabella looked between the two before walking past them, "I can actually believe that." She murmured under her breath as she past them.
Charles smirked at Aurora before walking behind the Romero girl.
"Shut up, fart face." She rolled her eyes.
Lando, next to Aurora, snorted.
A couple hours later, Lando had gone with Charles and other drivers to eat, whilst Aurora was sitting down on the floor with Isabella, writing a list of the people who confirmed to be going.
"Did you actually sent an invitation to Dylan O'Brien?" Aurora asked, looking down at the list.
Isabella shrugged, not even bothering to look. "A girl's gotta try, and like always, I succeeded."
"Next thing we know, you're divorcing Lando for Dylan." She joked, making the girl snort.
They continued on writing down on the list until two in the morning, ending with them sleeping on the floor. The two boys had gone back to Lando's home, finding the girls on the floor.
Lando looked back at Charles who seemed to be looking over at Aurora, his lips twitched as he walked up to her fiancée and gently touched her cheek, he bent down to carry her in his arms before turning to Charles.
"You can take Aurora to the guest room." He whispered.
Charles nodded, watching as his friend left upstairs. He quickly went over to Aurora and gently grabbed her with his arms, carrying her to the guest room. He placed her on the bed softly, covering her with the soft blanket, he did the same as Lando, placed his palm on the girl's cheek, examinating the girl's features before quietly walking out the door, closing the door behind him.
