I fan myself using my hands. It was so hot inside the gymnasium. It didn't help that there's also bunch of students inside. The left side is where some boys occupying just to play basketball while the right side is for us, doing basic aerobics. Our class just ended two minutes ago.
"God, it's so hot! I'm now craving some cold drinks!" Sunoo said, slumping himself to the floor beside Eun-soo.
Eun-soo is massaging her legs with pain written all over her face. I can't blame her since the performance earlier were kind of intense. But I'm glad that the class would be the first and last class this summer.
"I can't feel my legs," Eun-soo whines.
"I think there's a pain reliever patch in the infirmary. Do you want me to get it?" I arch an eyebrow to her, waiting for her answer.
"Please?"
I nodded. I picked up my water bottle. The water station is just near the infirmary. It's been a week since the summer class started and I'm enjoying it so far. Even though Heeseung never failed to annoy me whenever he has the opportunity to take.
I knocked to the door before pushing it to open. It's empty inside, only the sound of air conditioner reign every corner of the room. The doctor probably went out. I just walk towards the cabinet where—I think—they usually put the pain relief patches.
In the middle of checking the cabinet of medicines I hear rustle behind the curtains. I turned around to see where it came from. The two hospital bed were empty and neat and their curtains were open enough to see if there is someone in there. The last bed with closed curtains is the only suspicious. Maybe, someone is lying in there.
"Doc, can you turn high the air-c..." That voice...
I torn apart the curtain at the sight of him casually sleeping in the bed. He scratch his cheeks with his eyes closed. I can't help but scoff at the sight. His closed eyes squint when the sunlight touch his face. Heeseung tried to face the other side to block his face from the sun light but I slapped his leg.
He slowly open his eyes and the way his eyes widen in fraction from seeing me.
"Am I having a nightmare? Please save me from Yeorum's wrath..." He joked which made me slap him again. "Aww!" He whines.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him even though the answer is pretty obvious.
"Resting," He replied.
I rolled my eyes to his dumbness. Why am I expecting a serious answer from him. "Why did you take summer class if you'll be bored then? You could've just stay in your house."
"Just because."
Before I can shout at his nonsense response the door swung open. The woman in white went inside.
"Oh," He eyes land to Heeseung. "You're okay now, Lee?" She asked.
I quickly look at him. He's already getting up. "Yup! Thanks for letting me sleep." He chuckled.
Then, the woman turn to me. I said what I need why I'm here in the first place. She handed me the box and I bowed to her before leaving the infirmary. I caught Heeseung leaning on the wall while he's caressing his head. When he saw me he quickly straightened up. His eyes land to my hand.
"What are those for? Are you in pain?" He asked, sounding concern.
I shake my head. "It's for Eun-soo. We had aerobic class." I answered.
He nod his head. I take a close look at him. If I wouldn't pay attention, he look really fine. But his lip says otherwise. It was pale and cracked. I unconsciously raise my hand but he was quick to catch it.
"W-what are you doing?" He stuttered.
"Were you just sleeping in there? You looked like you just heavily threw up." I said, I broke his hold from my hand.
He was taken aback. He caress the back of his neck. I'm not sure if his ears turn cherry red or my eyes are just playing with me. With his guard off, the palm of my hand went to his forehead. It was hot. He aggressively take four steps backward.
"What's wrong with you?" He said like I did something murderous.
"You were hot." I pointed at him.
I feel like there's something wrong with what I said. Is he sick? Or was it because of the weather? Concern drown at me that I didn't realize he was laughing. That's when I knew that there is really something wrong.
"You're crazy." I said before turning my back at him and walk passed him.
"Yeah, hot and crazy." He chuckled.
"That's not what I mean!"
He's wearing that mischievous smile again. Oh god, spare me from this guy!
"Yeorum, we can't deny the fact that what you said is true."
"Why don't you go back to the infirmary and get some check up because," I tap my head. "there's really something wrong with your head." I sneered at him.
I can feel my cheeks heating up from madness. Before I can lost from his sight I heard him called me.
"You don't have to worry about me. I'm fine as hot, Summer."
He called me with the name he used to call me when we were eight.
