"I want you to get married" said Mr. Mehta to Shravani.

"You want me to what?"asked Shravani in a disbelief tone.

"You heard me right Vani" said Mr. Mehta.

"I can't believe you are saying this papa" said Shravani emphasising on 'you' word being clearly disappointed with what her father stated just now.

"Why is it so hard to believe? Vani ...bacche.. this is the hard truth that one day you have to get married to someone and start your own family" said Mr. Mehta in a pacifying tone, cupping Shravani's cheeks as if trying to make her understand his point.

"You are my family too Papa.... My only family after Mumma and I am not going to leave you anytime soon" said Shravani with tears in her eyes slightly sobbing making her father's face soften.

"Par mai tere saath humesha nhi reh skta Vani...isiliye koi toh chiye na... jo tera zindagi bhar saath nibhaye, tera khayal rakhe!" Mr. Mehta said all the while cupping her face wiping her tears that escaped through her eyes.

"I can't sit peacefully knowing that someone is behind my daughter...Isiliye ab maine kisi ko dhund liya h jo tera saath dega aur tujhe protect krega humesha" Mr. Mehta said the last lines in a thoughful and determined tone.

"Protect hi krna tha toh bodyguard rakhwa dete ye pati kyun bana rahe ?" Said Shravani with a slight pout.

"Ek second.." said Shravani abruptly recalling her father's exact words.

"Aapne dhund liya hai?" Asked Shravani tilting her face in amazement and shock.

"Haan dhund liya hai" answered her father with a proud smirk while going and sitting on the sofa while Shravani's brain was still processing what he just said.

She walked to the sofa where her father was sitting with a proud smirk and stood in front of him with her hands on her waist.

"Ohh toh aap mere absence mein yahi sab karte hai ?" Asked Shravani dramatically.
