A story about a teen

Prolouge

"Hi everyone, my name is Aeia Tiffany Fleur Garcia but you can call me Tiff or Fleur for short" I introduced myself to the class.

This is the school where I started going since grade 3, I know some people now at grade 9 but not all of them. We just got back from the pandemic. Some of them were familiar to me, some of them I still talk to and some of them are new.

"Alright, and what do you want to be when you grow up?" my professor asked.

This is mandatory for everyone so I guess I have to make something up that I have plan for my future.

"I want to be a doctor when I grow up miss" I lied.

Being a doctor is not my dream, but it's always been the choice. I'm still figuring things out. I don't want to plan my future because it's too early for that, I just want to enjoy life.

"That's a nice job Fleur I hope you'll be a famous doctor one day, next!" my professor congratulated me.

It's lunch time and I'm with my best friend Cassie. We've been friends for several years now. We might not talk that often but we still get in touch from time to time.

Cassie is just an average girl at school like me, but she's smarter than me. She also has a strict parents and I don't have one. My parents are okay with me going out but it's my choice not to. It's not because I'm lazy, but it's because I prefer being at home to being outside.

On the other hand Cassie likes going out, she's not happy at her house so she always spend her time outside. She doesn't inform her parents that she'll be home late instead she'll tell her parents that we have important things to do at school.

"Hey, have you seen Leo?" she asked.

Leo? the top 2 of our school? the guy who's been flirting me since September?

"No? why would I care?" I told her.

It's true, why would I care about him? I mean we always talk day and night, update each other from time to time but we're just friends nothing else more. I don't like him and he doesn't like me, so why even bother talking to him at school and finding him here?

"Girl, you like him and he likes you. Weren't you two a thing?" she told me.

Well... I'm a bit unsure if I really like him because I'm still moving on from my jerk ex who cheated on me with his girl best friend. I'm scared because I don't know if I like him or just using him as my rebound.

"No" I said stiffly.

She just nodded.

We came back to our room since our lunch ended and we still have to meet our subject teachers for this semester.

We did nothing today but a never ending self introduction.

"Tiff, it's so cold I forgot to bring my jacket can we stay for a bit in the hallway, it's freezing here" Cass approached me.

I nodded and followed her at the hallway.

We sat down at the floor and I feel sleepy as I stare at the stairs waiting for no one.

I was shocked when someone approached us.

"Hi!" he looked at us with a wide smile.

I smiled back to him.

"Hello" Cass replied back for me.

Honestly sometimes I feel attracted to Leo, but most of the times I don't care about him. His just a "fling" that's all. There will be a time that I will no longer be attracted to him.

He's telling me something but my mind is not paying attention to him. He left without saying anything. I think he noticed that I'm not paying attention to what he is saying so he left.

I'm still staring at the stairs now a bit unclear because the hallways is now filled with students.

Even if the hallways is filled it can't stop me from noticing a guy who just got up from the stairs.

My eyes followed him as he enter his room.

"Oh my gosh! who is he?" I asked Cass.

She looked at me.

"Ohh, that's Aero kinda not a new student. He left this school at grade 3 so you both didn't meet" She told me.

Aero huh? so this is what love at first sight feels like.
