The chickens squawked as you tossed another handful of feed on the ground, their tiny feet scratching at the dirt. It was your day off from Angel's Share, which meant you were supposed to be resting, but somehow, here you were, taking care of the small farm that had slowly taken over your backyard.

You sighed, leaning against the fence as you watched the chickens scramble for food. "It used to just be me," you thought dryly. "Me, and...ganny. That was enough."

You glanced over at the small coop where some of Razor's rabbits were now living, chewing on bits of grass like they didn't have a care in the world. There was even a squirrel darting around the treetops—another of Razor's "gifts." Somehow, this has become your life.

"I mean, sure, free eggs," you muttered to yourself, watching the chickens flap around. "But now I have to feed them. I should've just bought groceries."

It wasn't that you hated the animals—truth be told, you were starting to grow fond of them. But it was hard to admit that your Mora was disappearing faster than you could earn it, thanks to feeding a kid and his growing collection of animals.

You tossed the last of the feed and wiped your hands on your pants. Razor had been gone for a while now, longer than usual. He was normally back by now with whatever new critter he'd caught, dragging it home like some kind of proud hunter.

But today? Nothing. Not even the usual loud entrance that came with him.

"That kid's been living in the forest on his own for years," you thought with a sigh. "He'll be fine."

You started to head inside, but a flicker of concern nagged at the back of your mind. "I guess I should look for him... just in case." You sighed again, feeling a mix of annoyance and—though you'd never admit it—worry.

It was supposed to be your day off.

After feeding the chickens and dealing with the mess Razor left behind, you decided to check Wolvendom. You walked through the thick trees, brushing aside branches as you made your way along a familiar path. Razor wasn't far; you could feel it. He usually didn't stray too far from these woods, but today, you had a strange feeling. It wasn't like him to be gone this long without showing up with another critter.

It didn't take long before you spotted him—but something stopped you in your tracks. He wasn't alone.

There, sitting casually on a large rock, was a woman you didn't recognize. Her emerald-green eyes sparkled with amusement as she talked to Razor, who was crouched beside her, his silver hair wild as always. She didn't seem fazed by Razor's wolfish behavior, which piqued your curiosity.

You crouched behind a nearby tree, narrowing your eyes as you listened in.

"Where have you been?" the woman asked, her voice smooth and lilting. "I've been looking everywhere for you."

Razor tilted his head. "With new pack."

Your eyebrow shot up. "New pack? Does he mean me? I'm not a pack—I'm just me."

Before you could react further, Razor's nose twitched, his ears perking up as he turned in your direction, a grin spreading across his face.

"Lupical!" he called out, excitement clear in his voice.

Before you could slip away, Razor barreled toward you, grabbing your arm and dragging you out from behind the tree.

"Lupical, come meet!" he said, practically bouncing on his feet.
