The boys strolled along the pavement while they gossiped amongst themselves.
None of them noticed the slim girl with long brown wavy hair and blue eyes approaching from the opposite direction.
As the girl approached the group, she thought she recognised one of the boys.
"Hi James!" exclaimed the girl.
James was too busy talking to the boys and didn't realise that someone had called him.
Suddenly there was a loud thud. James looked up and saw a brown haired girl who had dropped her stuff.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking at where I was going." said James as he was picking up her drawing of an beautiful angel. He recognised the signature on her artwork.
James got up and smiled at the girl.
"Hey, Riley. It's been a long time since I last saw you. How are you?" asked James."I'm fine, thank you. Nice to see you again." answered Riley.
"Sorry, I can't stop right now. I'm on my way to see a mate who's been in hospital." replied James.
"Oh ok. So are you free on Saturday?"
"I'm not sure, but can I have your number so that I can text you later?""Get in there James!" exclaimed Calum with a cheeky grin on his face.
"Oh shut up Calum. We're just friends." replied James.
James and Riley exchanged phone numbers.
"Bye, I'll text you whether I'm free later." said James as he waved.
"Ok. Goodbye."James smiled to himself: he felt glad that he had seen Riley. He remembered what an talented artist she was. He recalled the portrait of him that Riley had drawn. He noticed that she no longer had any braces. He was happy to have seen Riley and was hoping to see her soon.
