I'm sorry for the late update guys.

I have been busy with irl activities.

Life is has been kinda tough and I hope you girlies are good

‘You bastard,’ he barked, lunging at me, and before I could react, he punched me in the face.

‘Adi!’ His mum screamed and rushed towards us.

‘Why did you let her go to pagdandiya? She is in danger because of you.’ Aditya yelled.

‘Why are you worried about her? You no longer have that right!’ I retorted back.

‘Yes, I do!’ He dashed towards me again but Nishant stood in front.

‘Stop this Adi, Let's think of how we are going to save her.’ Nishant says.

‘I'm not going to think of how to save her with this fool, I will save my imlie and if she gets hurt, you won't like what I will do to you.’ Aditya said, glaring at me.

'Should I remind you that you are speaking to your boss,' I replied with a wicked grin on my face.

'Imlie is mine and not yours, lastly take that,' I say before swinging my arms in the air and punching him back.

I was about to throw another punch when Aparna stood between us.

'Enough! Why do you two always behave like this? The girl you are fighting over is in danger, we need to find out how to save her.' Aparna stated.

'You don't have to worry, I will be leaving for pagdandiya first thing tomorrow morning.' I told her.

I want to apologize to you on behalf of my son and the way he barged into your house. I'm really sorry, I wondered where I went wrong with my upbringing. Aparna folded her hands towards my mother.

'It's fine,' my mum replied quietly and asked them to have a seat.

'We've been trying to reach imlie but she isn't picking up.' My mum said.

'What is she doing in pagdandiya anyways?' Nishant asked.

'She went to see her mum, her mum was seriously ill and asked for her.' Arpita answered.

'Wow, She didn't tell us but it's all well. Aditya and Aryan will go to pagdandiya and bring imile back.' Aparna said.

"I'm not going to pagdandiya with him.' Aditya says, staring daggers at me.

'I never said I wanted to go with you.' I snapped back. 'I will find my way.'

'No, Aryan it's better for the two of you to go together because Adi Knows the place.' Aparna pleaded.

'Over my dead body!' We both reply in unison.

'Can't you both keep your ego aside for once!' Arpita yelled. 'Imile is in danger and the more you keep arguing, the clock keeps ticking.'

The news came up again and this time, the village has turned to someplace that wasn't recognizable, there was a thick smoke hovering the air, loud gunshots, walls being smashed, the entire village was in chaos as people were running around.

'So, are you guys going together or are you two going to lock horns again? Arpita asked, looking at the both of us.'

Next morning

We both took blessings from our parents, bid goodbye and hopped into my car.

My mum was tearing up but I had to go get my imlie.

The ride was a very long and silent one. Me and Aditya didn't exchange any words except when we had to relieve ourselves.

We finally arrived at the village and Aditya suggested we sneak in.

I looked at him and smirked, 'I thought you wouldn't speak to me.'

'How does it feel being with your employee’s ex-wife?' He snapped.

'No one forced you to divorce her and marry her half-sister, Mr Tripathi.' I snapped back. 'We didn't come here to exchange words, let's get my imlie out safely and let's go home.'

'You're what? 'Aditya asked and burst out laughing. 'I don't know what you guys have been up to lately, but believe me, she doesn't love you, and I'm going to prove that today.'

'Let's see who she comes running to when she sees us.' Aditya said with an air of confidence.

'Yeah, let's see.' I replied, but I was feeling down already.

What if she runs to him? What will I do then? These thoughts plagued my mind as I wandered deeper into the village with Aditya taking the lead.
