Band khidkiyon mein ek saaya hai chhupa,
Aankhon mein sawaal, koi jawaab na mila.
Kisi aur ka gunaah, ab dil par hai likha,
Guzre kal ka dard phir se hai utha.

After few days....

8:15 a.m
Mumbai, India.

The sun filtered softly through Amaira's window, casting a warm, golden hue over her room.

Yet, despite the serene morning light, sleep didn't come .

The events of the reunion weighed heavily on her mind.

"Rishabh, I hope you've moved on with your life. I know I never cleared up the misunderstandings between us, and I can only imagine how much it hurt you. But trust me, leaving things as they were was the only way I could think to protect you. Yet, I ended up hurting myself too. What hurts even more is knowing that you never trusted me enough. That's what really created the distance between us."

My thoughts about rishabh were interrupted by the loud ring of my phone.

I glanced at the screen to see Inspector Devraj Chauhan's name flashing. So I closed my diary and picked up my phone.

"Hello, Inspector Chauhan. You called me this morning. Is something wrong?" i asked, my voice steady but laced with curiosity.

"Yes, Dr. Amaira," Chauhan replied, his tone edged with concern. "A body has been discovered in the Skyline Apartment. I've texted you the address. Please come quickly."

I felt a jolt of urgency. "Understood. I'll be there in 20 minutes."

I ended the call, my mind already shifting gears.

I had to focus on my work on the case rather than letting my thoughts drift back to Rishabh.

The past can't control me.

Skyline Apartment
Mumbai, india.

I had arrived at victims's apartment and the apartment is located in a modern high-rise in the heart of the city, with large windows offering a view of the bustling streets below.

However, the usual tranquility of the space is now overshadowed by the presence of police officers and the tension in the air.

I pulled up to the scene, parking my car a short distance from the entrance.
