The night was ending, and Gotham's Knights had gathered upon her cathedral with greasy fast food that their patriarch would not approve of. A good ending to a good night.

" How did you manage to hide her for so long?"

"In plain sight," Robin said as he snatched his toy back for Red Hood." I am no longer questioned when bringing strays home. I've walked past you all many times with her in my arms. You all just assumed her to be another hidden companion." he smiled smugly as everyone else slowly realized what he said and what that meant. They tried to count how many strays they found within Damian's room or wandered the halls and ignored or, in some cases, pet.

"So, how many times has she been in the house? How long has she been staying with us?" Red Robin asked

"No, she is without a home, but her main place was Crime Alley."

"Wait, she's homeless?!" Nightwing whispered as if he couldn't believe it, as if it was something not to be said out loud.

"She doesn't like that word." Yes.

The group fell into silence, their appetites gone. Expect Robin and Red Hood. They kept eating, even helping themselves to their siblings' fries. Red Hood wasn't shocked; many homeless orphans/ families were in the Alley.

"I gave her the codes to one of the safe houses," Robin said, trying to save the mood slightly. " She prefers the outdoors."

"Robin." Everyone looked up to Batman, who loomed over them, soda in hand.

" She's staying at the manor now. She'll occasionally leave for the safe house, but she always returns. She always does."

"Damian," Spoiler said softly. He stole her fries.

"If you mention it, she'll get upset and leave."

"She's staying with us now. End of discussion," Batman said, signaling the discussion and the little meet-up were both over.

"Like she wasn't already," Red Hood mumbled. They gathered their trash, and everyone made their way home.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Batman asked as he and Robin rode back.

"It wasn't my story to tell".
