The day before the quiz competition, Arnav and Khushi sat on the computer system, surrounded by a mountain of books and notes.

"Ready for tomorrow?" he asked, casually leaning against the wall as he observed her fervent studying.

"Yes, sir!" Khushi replied, her voice bright. The admiration she felt for him was palpable; not just as a teacher, but as a guiding inspiration.

"Make sure to check with Aman sir about the timings. And if you have any problems, he'll be there to help," he advised, his tone serious yet comforting.

Khushi's heart sank a little. " Kyu mai toh aapse kahungi . aap bhi toh honge sath me .

"No," Arnav replied simply.

Khushi par kyu sir

I am not going with you Arnav said

Just then, a female student knocked on the door and stepped in. "Sir, I need help with this equations..." she said, her voice sweetened with an almost flirtatious undertone.

As she settled next to Arnav, leaning in close to him, Khushi's pulse quickened, not from the thrill of competition, but with an uncomfortable feeling she couldn't shake off. She watched, her pencil slipping from her grasp and tumbling to the floor.

Arnav's attention turned towards her as he caught the flicker of jealousy on her face. It was momentary, but enough to change the atmosphere. His instincts kicked in. "Umm... I'll teach you this in class. You can go now," he said abruptly, dismissing the female student who looked surprised but left nonetheless.

Sir, are you really not coming to support me tomorrow?" Khushi interjected, her voice thick with emotion.

"No, Khushi, I have my own commitments." He turned slightly irritated, a hint of annoyance leaking into his voice.

Khushi pouted. "How can I win without you?"

Arnav raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Why wouldn't you be able to?"

"Because..." she hesitated, taking a breath as she gathered her thoughts. "When you're around, everything just feels more achievable. Your dedication and hard work inspire me."

I can't always be there, but I want you to know that you're capable of so much, Khushi. Trust in yourself. He said

"Why not? I can always keep you by my side!" She blurted out impulsively, immediately regretting her words.

"What are you saying? Think before you speak!" His tone was sharp as he turned away, unable to hide his frustration.

Deflated, Khushi felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment. What had she just revealed? Did she honestly express that she wanted to have him by her side, always?

Khushi's POV:
What did I just say? He looked so angry, Suddenly, the reality crashed over her-she had unintentionally confessed her feelings for him, that she can always keep him by her side and that terrified her.

Arnav's POV:
Pacing in his mind, Arnav found himself replaying the moments.
What was happening? First, Khushi seemed jealous of another girl, and then she implied she wanted me to always be with her. My head spun as confusion consumed me. Why is this so complicated?

As Khushi sat alone, mind racing with embarrassment and vulnerability, she realized the quiz wasn't her only fear anymore. She had to confront her emotions and the uncharted territory that lay between her and Arnav sir. Would she gather the courage to face this unexpected turn of events, or would fear dictate her actions?

With her heart stuck in a whirlwind of hope and uncertainty, she knew one thing was certain: the quiz competition was just the beginning of a much bigger challenge that involved not just questions, but feelings-raw, beautiful, and complicated feelings.
