Explanation of omegaverse:

Hierarchy
Alphas are on the top of the food chain and are very aggressive and their pheromones are overwhelming.

Betas are the middle and are more neutral but they can overpower omegas

Omegas are the bottom of the food chain and are looked down on almost like women where in the 19 hundreds and it's rare that they overpower a beta let alone an alpha.

Heat:
A heat is the time when an omega is most fertile and ready to mate. Some get help from their mates to ease the pain and others hide in their nests until the heat is over. Omegas are usually very vulnerable during this time and very mentally exhausted.
During their heat omegas produce a sweet scent to arouse alphas. Unmated omegas will have unstable hormone balance so it's important that an unmated omegas has to be protected.
These heats lasts a couple days a few times a year. If the omega feels unsafe its body will skip the heats and then it will be stronger the next time the omega has one.

Suppressants:
Basically birth control that lessens the pain of the heat or makes the omegas scent almost unnoticeable.

Nest:
A nest is created by and omega with their packs, family or mates clothes since it has their scents and will help the omega calm down. Omegas are very protective over their nests.
Their babies stay in the nest with the omega until they're 4 and it strengthens the mentality of the child and if they don't it could make the babies grow up to be emotionally unstable.
If a person enters the nest without permission the omega could develop trust issues and begin to feel unsafe in their own home.

Rut:
A rut is kind of like a heat but instead of feeling the need to be dominated they want to dominate. If the alpha can't find a partner it will lock itself away like an omega until the rut is over.
Instead of a sweet smell like omegas release alpha release a much more intrusive scent in their ruts.
The alphas are very protective so they will attack if they feel there is a need to so most people stay clear of them during this time. They will also feel the need to protect an omega even if there isn't any nearby. They will also mate with an omega forcefully or not.

Mating:
When having intercourse the omega or alpha will bite down on the scent gland on the others neck with their fangs with mating venom on it and then their scent will be imbraded into the others scent so when others smell them they know they're taken.

Scenting:
This can be done by rubbing on the other scent gland like on the neck, wrist, cheeks and for omegas their genitals. Alphas will rub their faces against these scent glands and leave their scent on it to claim the omega but it fades after a few hours (this is normally done when dating/post mating)

Pregnancy:
An omega tends to self-isolate themself when they're pregnant except for close friends and family (and their mate).
They build a nest from their mates clothes and wear their mates clothes since the scent helps keep them and the baby stay calm.
