Chapter 7: One Choice

Rex, Serenity, Kai immediately rushed to Percy who was rendered conscious from using the spell, the trio looked on in concern.

"Damn......he wasn't kidding. He's used up a lot of pure energy, whatever he had to do, it's knocked him out cold" Kai said.

Rex turned towards him.

"But he's gonna be okay, right?"

Kai nodded.

"Believe it or not.....he's fine, unconscious but alive"

".....And he's gonna have to keep doing this weekly until everyone's here" Rex had noted.

That caused Kai and Serenity to look wary out of concern for Percy's well being.

"Here, let's get him inside, quick" Serenity said.

The two of them nodded as they helped Serenity carry Percy back inside Neo Evolution Headquarters. Rex easily reactivated the building with his powers of technological control, the place looked the same as they had left it, the building remained untouched.

The trio carried Percy into the main quarters and put him on a couch. They saw firsthand why Percy refrained from using this powerful source of energy, not even against Silas, mystical energy was deadly but with Percy's mastery over it, he was alive and not dead.

"So.....New Angels huh? Looks lively" Kai remarked.

Rex chuckled.

"Genesis was amazing, don't get me wrong but I missed being home"

Serenity gave a soft smile. "Me too"

"So what the hell do we do now?" Kai asked.

The three of them looked at each other before Rex decided to answer.

"I guess we wait. Nothing else to do really and besides, Percy said that he'd need a week to recover, right?"

The two of them nodded. There wasn't much left to do except wait around, the spell would soon take its effect on them and Percy was taken out of action for the time being. Even with his level of mastery over his powers, the result of using mystical energies was costly but the three of them were safe from Silas.

Serenity didn't like waiting around, especially not with her mother still at large.

She stood in front of the window, deep in her thought but her anger had simmered down as of late. It was ironic really, her name meant calming and peaceful yet she herself was impulsive, short tempered and on occasion, stubborn as hell.

However, it was those qualities that Percy fell in love with, she was the woman of his life. Rex noticed his friend standing by herself, he walked over to her and talked to her.

"Been a while. City still looks beautiful everytime" Rex started the conversation.

Serenity let out a soft smile.

"Yeah, it is. I really missed being home......"

Rex and Serenity were happy to be back in New Angels again since they were born here.

Rex looked at her for a brief moment, he wanted to do more to help her, especially when she had found out the truth about her mother, he felt helpless in not being able to do anything to help his close friend.

Someone he considered a sister, Serenity felt the same about him, he was the brother Felix could never be.

"Hey, you okay?.....I know this isn't easy for you. Going after your mom, I mean"
