"[sigh] all right, lets see what's really going on in that head" Crystal said touching nikos hand and her head went back her eyes white
I took a step back "dose she do that often" I asked Edwin and Charles and they nodded
Niko started to shake
"Charles, something's wrong" Edwin said and pulled out a notebook
"NO SHIT SHERLOCK" I whisper yelled
"Crystal" Charles said taking a step forward and Crystal started to shake as well "that's enough" he yelled
Crystal went flying back into the wall and me and Charles ran up to her
"Crystal" me and Charles said as I lifted her head onto my lap stroking her hair
"Is she all right" Edwin asked looking up from his notepad
She was breathing heavily "I'm okay" she said sitting up and I was not convinced
"All I saw was... Was colors and.. And light" she stuttered and I rubbed her arm comfortably "whatever it is, I've never seen anything like it"
"You had me scared there for a moment" Charles said sticking out his hand for her to take and she took it and he helped her up
Edwin ripped a page of his notebook out and handed it to Crystal as I stood next to Edwin "Here's the list to questions to ask her when she wakes" Edwin said I shifted my feat standing next to Edwin
"So you'll help her" Crystal asked
"This is a almost perfect example of a supernatural mystery that can only be solved by us." Edwin said "clearly, that living doctor proved entirely useless"
"Come on, it's not his fault Western medicine is so limited, is it" Charles asked
"Charles stop being so nice. Y/n, Crystal stay with Niko. we will be back shortly." Edwin said
"Uh, why do we have to babysit" Crystal asked madly
"Being a detective is not all invading people's minds, reading objects, and ta-da there's your answer sometimes, actual detective work is required" Edwin said sassyly walking towards them hint with a bit of venom
"We need our reference books from London" Edwin said and he turned around
"Just one problem there mate" Charles said trying to stop Edwin and Edwin turned around and Charles lifted his arm with the bracelet on it
Charles went through the mirror and Edwin did to but only leaving his hand out as the looked for a book
I sat on the bed with Niko in my cat form waiting for them to get back

Crystal was looking around nikos room waiting for the boys to get back and I was sat on nikos bed stroking her hair as crystal looked at her mail
Niko shot straight up "uh, hi. I'm Crystal. I live across the hall we actually met once" Crystal said making it weird "do you remember what happened" Crystal asked stepping towards niko
"Oh. You're in my room" niko said to both me and Crystal with her back turned "and you're staring at me" she said and I looked away careful not to make her uncomfortable
Niko stepped out of her bed "uh, wait, I have a couple questions for you." Crystal said moving towards Niko
"your full legal name" Crystal asked trying to get information and I stepped closer
"No, thank you" niko said as she tried to walk away
"Okay, uhh, do you have a history of fainting, yes. Are the women of your family prone to hysteria.oh, Come on Edwin" Crystal said talking to herself "uh.. Your supposed to rest" Crystal said following Niko and I just watched from the sidelines
"I'm sorry I made you worried, complet stranger" niko said leaving her apartment with a pile of what looks like clothes "but I usually feel better after a hot shower" she said walking to there shared bathroom
"So this has happened before" I asked walking with Crystal
"To what level frequency" Crystal asked and I looked at her like she was crazy as niko shut the bathroom door
[Mean while with Edwin and Charles]
No povs Charles popped a book on their desk
"There's nothing that matchs any of nikos symptoms in here, or in those" Charles said pointing at the other books
"Check again. And move quickly, please. Remember, death has been here and could very well come back" Edwin said his hand still in the mirror "you must've missed something on page 181--"
"No, no, no. I checked page 181 and 325. I can't make heads or trips of whatever these old toffs are on about. Looks like half of these are in ancient Aramaic" Charles said annoyed
"They are perfectly understandable with a bit of study. If I could just-" Edwin said trying to get his hand through the mirror but the bracelet is keeping him there
"Oi, you'll rip your arm clean off, stop that now" Charles yelled at Edwin. and Edwin signed
"I'm not as quick as you, but I am here to help" Charles said calmly "honestly, Edwin, can't you tell me what really happened with the cat king" Charles asked
"I have told you the lot of it, he was uncivil, garish, and I was taking of guard when he spoke in my ear" Edwin said very definitely and he froze for a second because he said something he shouldn't have of said
"What, he whispered in your ear" Charles asked
"That is not important. This is a waste of time. Please focus on the case at hand" he said almost like he was begging (😏)
"Right. Fine then" Charles said walking over to Edwin "How about this. Take a deep breath" and they both take a breath "And put your big brain to work, 'cause the answer's gotta be in there somewhere* Charles said putting a finger to Edwin's temple
"Inside my big brain" Edwin said remembering something "Charles your a genius. I need another book"

Charles slams another book to the table
The pink cover read 'Paranormal parasites'
"Oh, this one doesn't look all that bad." Charles before opening the book to see a lot of creepy images "Oh! Oh, I think I'm gonna be sick"
"Charles your a ghost. You cannot get sick" Edwin said not taking the joke "now, which one of these sneaky paranormal parasites found its way inside of niko. See if you can find a corresponding symptom"
"Ok. Spontaneous melting of the skin" Charles said
"No" Edwin answered
"Thirst for warm blood" "No" "itching" "no" "colorful secretions"
"Stop. That one. Which one is that" Edwin asked when the got to a one that might be their case
Charles walked over to Edwin with the book in hand
"Dandelion sprites" Charles said showing Edwin the book "they sound harmless enough, don't they"
They both look at each other and Edwin shook his head no
