The door clicked softly shut behind Yujiro, leaving her alone in the quiet of the house. She stood frozen for a moment, her heart still racing in her chest, her lips tingling from the kiss they had just shared. It felt surreal, like a dream she had longed for but never thought would come true. The warmth of his lips against hers lingered, a reminder that it had been real.

She slowly brought her fingers to her mouth, touching where his lips had pressed against hers. What does this mean? The question echoed in her mind, but there was no clear answer. Yujiro was an enigma, powerful and distant, yet in that moment, he had felt close—closer than anyone had ever been.

Walking toward the living room, she sank onto the couch, her mind still swirling. Every moment of the night played back in her thoughts, but nothing stood out more than the way he had kissed her, as if she were both fragile and something to be possessed at the same time. It wasn't just a kiss—it was a statement.

Her heart fluttered at the memory, but uncertainty gnawed at her. Did it mean anything to him? Or was it just another display of control for a man who saw the world as his to command? She didn't know. All she knew was that, for her, the kiss had shifted everything.

The fragile balance between them had changed, and she could feel the weight of that shift pressing down on her. She wasn't just another person in his life now; something unspoken had formed between them. But whether that was a good thing or not remained to be seen.

Outside, Yujiro walked with his usual confident stride, but his mind was still on the kiss. He hadn't planned it—hadn't even thought much about it until the moment her soft lips had met his. But once it happened, something stirred inside him, something unfamiliar and strange.

What the hell was that? he thought, furrowing his brow slightly. He wasn't the kind of man to be distracted by emotions or drawn in by sentiment. Yet there was something about her—a softness—that made him want to explore whatever it was between them. She was different, delicate in a way that most people were not. And for some reason, that intrigued him.

The kiss had been a statement of control, yes, but it had also been more than that. It was almost... curious. She was a challenge, not in the way of strength or power like most he had encountered, but in her vulnerability. She tested his restraint, and that wasn't something many could do.

He smirked to himself. It didn't mean he was becoming sentimental—far from it. But the pull he felt toward her was undeniable, and for now, he would follow it, if only to see where it led. His curiosity about her fragility, the way she lived in a world of glass while he shattered everything in his path, was something he couldn't ignore.

As he reached his car, his mind settled. He'd see her again. There was no question about that. He wasn't done with her, not by a long shot.

Back inside, she curled up in bed, the room bathed in a soft glow from the bedside lamp. Her mind was still racing, replaying every touch, every glance. Yujiro's intensity had always been overwhelming, but now it felt different. It felt personal.

She shifted under the covers, biting her lip as she thought about him. Was this what falling for someone felt like? The uncertainty, the excitement, the fear? She didn't know. All she knew was that she wanted to see him again, despite the danger it might pose to her heart.

Turning onto her side, she let out a soft sigh. Whatever this was between them, it was only beginning. The kiss had marked a new chapter in her life—one filled with uncertainty, but also a thrilling sense of anticipation. She just didn't know where it would lead.

What is he thinking? she wondered, staring at the ceiling. Did the kiss mean anything to him, or had it been just another casual display of his dominance? She had no way of knowing.

But as she closed her eyes, the memory of his lips against hers lingered, and for the first time in a long while, she felt something other than fear. She felt hope.
