In the quiet of her room, she sat on the edge of her bed, lost in thought. The evening had been unlike anything she'd expected. Yujiro was as intimidating as ever, but there was something else there, something that stirred within her as she replayed his words in her mind: Vulnerability isn't weakness, it's a part of who you are. Just learn to embrace it. (CH.5)
Slowly, she stood up and moved to the full-length mirror near the corner of her room. The dim light cast a soft glow over her, highlighting her delicate features and frail body. She gazed at her reflection, her fingers lightly tracing her skin—soft, almost featherlight—as they moved over her collarbone, down her arms, and along her waist.
Her eyes lingered on her body, taking in the contrast between her beauty and fragility. She was perfectly shaped—delicate curves, smooth skin, an ethereal sort of allure—but beneath that exterior was the undeniable truth: her weakness. She was fragile, breakable. All her life, it had kept people at a distance, leaving her untouched, never truly seen for who she was inside.
But now... there was Yujiro.
Her fingers slid across her stomach, tracing slow, deliberate paths, as her thoughts drifted back to him. The way he had caught her earlier—effortless, like she weighed nothing. His touch had been careful, restrained, as though even he knew her limits. Yet, he had held her with the same strength and power that made him feared by so many.
What does he see when he looks at me? she wondered. Does he see the beauty everyone comments on, or does he see my fragility?
A shiver ran down her spine, and her hand stilled on her skin. She wasn't used to being seen like that—to being observed so closely, especially by someone like Yujiro. He wasn't like the others. He didn't seem afraid of her weakness. Instead, he seemed... curious.
Her gaze dropped, her heart beating faster as she recalled the way his eyes had followed her every movement during dinner. She had thought, at first, that he was simply keeping an eye on her out of duty. But there had been something else behind his watchful gaze. Interest? Fascination?
Her fingertips lightly traced the curve of her hip as she sighed softly. What would it feel like, she wondered, to be touched by him, not out of necessity or care, but out of desire? The thought was intoxicating and terrifying all at once.
She let her hand fall to her side, the air in the room feeling suddenly heavier. Yujiro was a man of immense power, a force of nature. And yet, in some strange way, he was becoming a part of her world—one she was starting to feel more and more drawn to.
Turning away from the mirror, her mind still buzzing with thoughts of him. Tomorrow would come soon enough, but for now, she let herself drift into the uncertainty of her growing fascination with the world's strongest man.
