Maddie sighed as she opened her eyes, looking at the roof of the hotel room as currency resided in. She's been looking for a permanent place to stay but hasn't found the right place just yet. "Get up Maddie. Get up Maddie. Get up Maddie." she chanted to herself, making herself get up, she knew she had to, she had her shift in two hours and she still needed to shower, eat, and drive to the hospital. She eventually got herself up from the bed and got herself ready and quickly ate a muesli bar that she had with her before driving to the hospital

Maddie stood with George, Izzie and Meredith. They were waiting around for Dr. Bailey. "Why do you put up posters for roommates if you don't want roommates?" Izzie asked Meredith. She and George were trying to get Meredith to let her and George be her roommates. "I do want roommates, we're together a hundred hours a week, you want to live together too?" Meredith asked her as Cristina walked up to them. "No. Ooh, you're bringing bribes now?" she asked as she noticed that Meredith had coffee for Dr. Bailey.

"I need a place to live. My mom irons my scrubs. I have to get out of there." George said to Meredith, ignoring Cristina's comment. "It's not a bribe." Meredith said to Cristina before turning to George. "I don't think it's a good idea." she said. "But I can put down last, first and deposit." George tried to convince her as Maddie shared a look with Cristina. As desperate she was to get out of the hotel, she wasn't gonna beg Meredith to let her move in if she didn't want people she spent all day with moving in. "It's totally a bribe." Maddie added, talking about the coffee Meredit had and Cristina nodded in agreement.

"I can cook. And I'm an obsessive cleaner." Izzie said, popping up on Meredith's other side. "No. I just want two total strangers who I don't have to talk to, or be nice to," she said to them before turning to Cristina and Maddie. "And it's not a bribe, it's a mocha latte." she said before walking off towards Dr. Bailey. "Totally. Just a mocha latte." she muttered as she followed her.

"George, you're running the code team, Meredith and Madelyn, take the trauma patients, Cristina, deliver the weekend labs to the patients, Izzie, you're on sutures." Dr. Bailey instructed her interns before going to walk away, but Meredith stopped her. "Dr Bailey. I was hoping to assist you in the OR today, maybe do a minor procedure? I think I'm ready. Mocha latte?" Meredith said, handing the coffee to Dr Bailey. "If she gets to cut, I want to cut too." Cristina added as she moved behind Meredith.

"Yeah, me too." Izzie added. "I wouldn't mind another shot, I mean if everybody else is..." George trailed off, the only person who stayed and said nothing was Maddie. She knew begging for something wasn't going to work. "Stop talking." Dr Bailey said, looking over her interns, and raising an eyebrow at Maddie at the back, who had stayed silent.
