What's up, my sugary little shampoo bottles? It's me, again, because who else would it be? It's been a minute, and I wanna clear something(s) up before I start talking.


1. I do not, and never will, encourage someone to SH. These are simply tips as to how NOT to hurt yourself too badly if you feel the urge to, and coping mechanisms.

GREEN LIGHT:

tips for staying in the green zone, safe.

-grounding activities (ex, writing, baking, reading)
-listening to music
-soft bits of work
-hanging out with friends
-cuddling stuffed animals or a significant other.


YELLOW LIGHT:
take a breath, and we'll try to move back to the green.

-move sharp objects out of sight
-do a rainbow exercise (one red thing you can see, one orange thing you can see, etc)
-do a 5-1 exercise(5 things you can see, 4 you can feel, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and one you can taste) 
-deep breaths
-get water
-curl up and binge-watch tv or listen to music
-lights off


ORANGE LIGHT:
it's getting unbearable.

-big glass of water
-favorite movie
-rubber bands or hair-ties to tug at
-sketchbook
-breathing exercises
-don't TOUCH any sharp things
-music


RED LIGHT:
if you must.

-prep bandages and clean your blade
-don't cut too deep
-antibiotic or polysporin on wounds
-carefully bandage


AFTER SH CARE:

-don't move much, just curl up and relax
-water bottles are your friend
-cheesy movies or horror ones, your pick
-call a friend
-hop on character.ai
-rant at https://screamintothevoid.com/
-read stupid fanfics from your favorite fandom
