I Protect What Is Mine

Yamato gave a long, heavy sigh as he slid into the private hot spring. He had been tense ever since they had left Naruto's office. He had suggested they go the Hot Springs to unwind as Naruto and the others put down a plan of action on what they were going to do for what was coming. He was angry at how frightened Klaudia obviously was at the prospect of being a target again. He was determined to take her mind off her fear. She was in the bathroom at the moment as he sat on one of the benches in the spring. He closed his eyes as he leaned his head back, feeling some of the tension leave his frame.

Klaudia smiled as she looked at her husband, resting his head back on the rocks with his eyes closed. He looked much more relaxed than he had earlier. If she thought he was serious before, that had increased after hearing that those that had wanted to kill her was coming to their world. He looked ready to destroy anyone that got near them as they went through the village.

She smiled as she looked at him relaxed. He was so handsome. She pulled the robe she was wearing off and set it on the end of the bed before walking over to the water. His eyes opened as she sunk into the water and a slow smile crossed his features.

"Dang... I was hoping to watch that," he said with some humor before stretching his hand out to her.

Klaudia took it with a smile and allowed him to pull her up to him. He positioned her astride him, his dark eyes looking rather intently at her face. "You know I will not allow anyone to harm you, right?"

"Yes," she responded softly. "I know you are powerful, Tenzo. I'm sorry if I'm a bit shaken by this but they almost killed me. I thought that was behind me and now they're coming... You can't be with me all the time."

He smiled at that, "I can be until they're neutralized. And if I chose to, I could retire like Kakashi and just be with you all the time."

Klaudia felt her face flush, "Tenzo..."

He pulled her closer and gave her a slow, thorough kiss. His arms almost crushed her as he pulled her tight into his chest, the kiss becoming hungrier. He then gathered her close and held her for a long time, kissing her head as their breathing slowly returned to normal. "I think I might love you already too."

Klaudia raised her head up to look down at him. He smiled at her as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She was wordless and could only kiss him again before laying down next to him.

"I don't know what love feels like but I imagine it feels like this," he said softly. "You know my history... I don't always understand all of the feelings that I have, being raised in a tube that way but when I look at you... I want to just surround you in a shield of protection. To cherish every moment. I feel... joy."

Klaudia's eyes felt like they were burning from the words. They were the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to her. She stroked the side of her face. "I'm very happy that I married you, Tenzo. As crazy as it seemed... I can't imagine ever being with anyone else ever again."

"That's good because I'm not going to let you go, ever," he responded with a grin.

Klaudia laughed at the possessive tone he had used and snuggled close to him. She then let out a small gasp when he picked her up abruptly and took her back to the water. She had a feeling they were going to have a very long night.
