                       Flashback

The rain still held the city in its grip. Aarav and Sanaa stood under the balcony, both silent, but their eyes swirled with countless questions. There was something inside both of them that wanted to come out, like a forgotten wound that was beginning to sting again. Aarav glanced at Sanaa and, for the first time, realized that she too was drowning in a sea of pain, just like him.

After a brief silence, Aarav softly asked, "What happened in your life that broke you so much?"

Tears shimmered in Sanaa's eyes. She tried to appear strong, but eventually, the pain in her voice emerged, "You want to know, but I don’t want you to get trapped in the darkness I’ve passed through."

Aarav listened quietly. He had never hesitated to reveal the scars on his heart, but Sanaa's pain was pulling him into a deep whirlpool. Sanaa took a few steps back, as if trying to escape the shadow of her past.

**Flashback: Three years ago, Aarav's life was different.** He was in love—with a girl named **Neha**. Neha was the most beautiful part of his life. Her laughter, her innocence, and that carefree sparkle in her eyes gave Aarav a new purpose to live. Their lives were incomplete without each other. But fate had other plans.

A turning point came in Aarav's life when he lost his girlfriend in a deadly gang war. Neha, who once was the love of his life, was now just a painful memory.

The memories of that night were still fresh in Aarav's mind. He and Neha were sitting in a small restaurant when suddenly the sound of gunfire erupted. Aarav tried to shield Neha in his arms, but a bullet struck her chest. He couldn’t save her.

That night, as Neha took her last breath in his arms, Aarav’s eyes were filled with tears. For the first time in his life, he felt utterly helpless. His world had come to a halt, and his happiness had died with her. After Neha's death, Aarav was broken inside. He could never forgive himself.

Sanaa was still looking into Aarav's eyes, as if she had sensed his emotions. "I can see the pain in your eyes," Sanaa said softly. "You’ve lost someone, haven’t you?"

Aarav took a deep breath, his eyes reflecting a deep sorrow. "Yes... I lost the one I loved the most." His voice was low, as if he were fighting with himself.

Sanaa gently placed her hand on his. "Who broke you, Aarav?"

Aarav looked at her, tears welling up in his eyes. He softly said, "Neha... the love of my life. I watched her die in my arms. She was taken from me... in a gang war, in senseless violence. And since then, I’ve only blamed myself."

Sanaa’s eyes filled with pain. She, too, had lost someone, and now she could understand that pain.

"Gang war..." Sanaa whispered, as if a deep memory had resurfaced in her mind. Her voice carried an eerie silence, as though she was hiding something. "My past is quite similar. I lost someone too. And since then, I’ve been running."

Aarav looked at her intently. "Who broke you, Sanaa?"

There was a love in Sanaa's life as well. His name was Aditya, a stubborn yet kind-hearted man. He was connected to a small gang trying to gain influence in the city. Sanaa had tried multiple times to persuade him to leave this dangerous path, but Aditya always said he was doing it for their future.

One night, when Aditya and his gang got caught up in a war with another gang, everything changed. Aditya was murdered, and Sanaa’s world shattered as she stood next to his lifeless body. The promise Aditya made was now broken in front of her in a pool of blood. She was broken, and since then, she had been trying to escape her past.

---

Back in the present, tears were streaming down Sanaa’s face. "I couldn’t understand why Aditya got involved in all of this, but his death changed my life."

Both Aarav and Sanaa were now beginning to understand each other’s pain. Their lives were burdened by the weight of their past, and both had been trying to escape that burden. But today, in the rain, for the first time, they realized that running wasn’t the solution.

---

Aarav looked at Sanaa. "We both lost love... but maybe this is our chance to find ourselves again."

Sanaa looked at him, a faint glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Maybe... but can we love again?"

With a slight smile, Aarav replied, "Maybe love isn’t just about loving someone else. Sometimes, it’s about learning to love yourself again."

The rain was still falling, but now there was a bit of peace in their hearts. The pain was still there, but maybe they had found a way to live with it.

This night wasn’t just about reopening old wounds; it was the beginning of healing from them—a new hope, a new beginning.
