Orey manva tu to bavra hai
Tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai
Tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai bavre
Kyun dikhaye sapne tu sote jaagte

Jo barse sapne boond boond
Nainon ko moond moond
Kaise main chaloon, dekh na sakoon
Anjaane raastein

AUTHOR'S POV

On a tranquil Parisian balcony, a girl stands with a demeanor of quiet introspection. She was non other than Shivangi a very well known painter in France. Her almond-shaped eyes, a deep and reflective shade of light brown, reveal a hint of sadness or confusion as they wander over the cityscape below. Her hair, a soft light brown, falls in loose, tousled waves reaching a little more down from her waist, slightly disheveled by the morning breeze.

Her plump lips are set in a neutral line, not betraying any smile, and her expression is one of deep contemplation or inner struggle. She rests her hands lightly on the elegant iron railing, her posture suggesting a sense of being lost or preoccupied. The view of the Parisian rooftops and the distant silhouette of the Eiffel Tower seems distant and muted, mirroring her sense of disconnection and vulnerability in this moment of solitude.

Soon her trance broke hearing a knock behind her. It was her manager Rose who came to inform her about her flight which was in a few hours. She's going home finally after almost 3 years. Her mind went back to time when she decided to study abroad.

FLASHBACK

In a cozy living room filled with family photos and laughter, a lively discussion unfolds. The teenage girl, with a determined look, stands by the couch where her parents are seated, a hopeful glint in her eyes.

Shivangi: "Mujhe sach mein lagta hai ki NYC mein Arts padhna mere future ke liye sabse accha hoga. Yeh city creativity ka bada hub hai aur main yahan se bahut kuch seekh sakti hoon!"
("I really think studying Arts in NYC will be the best thing for my future. The city is a huge hub for creativity and I can learn so much!")

Mom: "Main samajh rahi hoon, Shivi, lekin yeh itna door hai. Ghar ke kareeb rehne ke baare mein kya? Yahan bhi ache programs hain."
("I understand that, Shivi, but it's so far away. What about staying closer to home? There are great programs here too.")

Dad:"Aur sirf distance hi nahi. New York bhi kaafi mehenga hai. Humein financial aspect bhi dekhna padega."
( "And it's not just the distance. New York is expensive. We need to think about the financial aspect as well.")

Shivangi: "Maine scholarships aur part-time jobs ke baare mein dekh liya hai. Main isme bahut passionate hoon, aur main promise karti hoon ki hard work karke isse successful banane ki puri koshish karungi. Plus, mujhe aise environment mein rahne ka mauka milega jo mujhe inspire karega."
("I’ve looked into scholarships and part-time jobs. I’m really passionate about this, and I promise I’ll work hard to make it work. Plus, I’d be in an environment that really inspires me.")

Her parents are seated at the table, discussing the possibility of her studying Arts in NYC. The girl, sensing an opportunity, takes a deep breath and decides to use her most effective weapon: her puppy eyes.

Shivangi: (tilting her head slightly and widening her eyes)"Mumma, Papa, please? Main promise karti hoon ki main isse achhe se utilize karungi. Socho, New York ka experience kitna amazing hoga aur best se seekhne ka moka milega."
("Mumma,Papa, please? I promise I’ll make the most of it. Just imagine how amazing it would be for me to experience New York and learn from the best.")

Her parents exchange glances, trying to maintain their composure, but the girl’s earnest expression is hard to resist.
Mom: (softening) "Tumhari aankhein… isse mana karna mushkil hai."
("Those eyes of yours… It’s hard to say no to that.")
