Chapter 27

Walking over to Millia, the man began to adjust Millia's collar till eventually it was adjusted his liking.

"I see you've found yourself a partner." said the man as he began to play with your hair.

"It's just for tonight, after this I won't be seeing him again." replied Millia, readjusting her collar to her liking.

"We could've just gone together, you could've skipped the hassle of finding a partner."

"Zato, you know we can't be partners on missions anymore, especially after last time. I had to use a fake identity to even get an invitation."

"I suppose that is true," pausing for a second, Zato said"would you like a drink, it's especially cold outside."

"Sure, but I would prefer if it was a champagne. I think we both wouldn't want to see what happened if I mixed alcohols together."

Chuckling a bit, Zato said,

"Of course." walking to mini-fridge in the room, Zato pulled out a bottle of presumably champagne and grabbed two glasses on the counter. Opening the bottle, Zato poured the champagne into the glasses, bringing them over to Millia once he finished. Handing one of the glasses to Millia, he and Millia touched their glasses together before they took a drink. With Millia taking a smaller sip and Zato taking a more generous drink. Finishing their first tastes of the drink, Zato said,

"Have you managed to find Sergio yet?"

Shaking her head, Millia said,

"Not yet, I got through half of the first floor before I was told to come here."

Finishing off his drink, Zato said,

"Well you don't have to worry about finding Sergio anymore."

"What do you mean." asked Millia, gripping her glass ever so slightly.

Walking over to the counter, Zato poured himself another glass and took sip. Swirling the liquid in his cup, Zato said,

"I've sent Venom out, the hope is he can find and take out Sergio, subtly of course."

While neither Millia's face or body language showed panic, in her mind, all she could think was that Ky had managed to track down Sergio before anything could happen. Steeling her mind, Millia said,

"I thought this was supposed to be my mission, even if you did came along."

Walking over to Millia, Zato placed his left hand onto Millia's cheek, saying tenderly"It was, but after last time, I was afraid something was going to happen to you. And you were so eager to accept this mission, that I couldn't help but be worried."

Taking Zato's hand off her cheek, Millia said,

"I would've been fine, you know me."

"I know, but tonight, instead of focusing on work, I want you to just relax and have fun."

5 minutes before, Ky's position

Sergio and Ky had made their way to a private room on the second floor far away from the rest of the party. Looking around the room, the room looked to be a private saloon of the sorts, with Ky taking note of the alcohol fridge towards the side of the room. Having saw where Ky's eyes went to, Sergio said,

"I see you've found our prize, is there anything you would like."

"Anything you like, I'm not particularly picky." Ky responded, noticing the rather large glass door that opened to a balcony.

"I see than, usually when I ask someone to drink they have some sort of preference." said Sergio as he walked to the fridge.

"Then I'm an exception to your experiences."
