Those familiar, unique pairs of gray-ish blue eyes glistened under the sunlight. It shone beautifully, and she couldn't help but admire it.
She hadn't had an inkling how they had unfortunately fortunate meet again.
----------
It was as if it were any other ordinary day. Aline had gone to university and took all her classes that day.
While she would've loved spending time with Nessie and Emilie. They were all busy, even including her.
She had some work to do, coding and some essays.
She decided to work on it in her favorite cafe, as usual.
The cafe had a nice atmosphere, it wasn't too busy. Considering the time was more of the slow hours instead of the busy ones.
Her order had been delivered as she typed away her work in her laptop.
Her tablet opened beside it, to cross reference her work. While she typed some codes in her laptop.
She also had used her headphones to listen to some of her favorite songs.
Her eyes glanced sideways, as she got distracted seeing a blur whiz by in her peripheral view.
Their eyes met and she couldn't help but let her eyes widen in shock.
He mouthed something from a small distance yet she couldn't hear what he had said. She then realized she had her headphones.
"Felix," She couldn't help but mutter his name out of shock as she took off her headphones.
She then saw his current figure standing right in front of her.
She scrunched up her eyebrows in confusement. She had no idea why he had come here and approached her. He had no reason to. Well, at least she couldn't find any reason.
They were staring at each other.
She realized an air of awkward silence covering them and realized about his standing figure.
She cleared her throat, "You may sit down. Sorry, it was late..." As she pointed to the opposite chair in front of her.
He nodded and mumbled a soft thank you.
Another silence ensued.
"I hadn't expected to see you here." She spoke up her honest thoughts, as she started the conversation, she had an inkling he wouldn't have spoken up if she hadn't as he finally settled down in the chair opposite her. Just like a few days ago, when they had met for the first time in a while.
"Me neither..." As he stared at her silently.
He couldn't help but agree to her sentiments.
He truly didn't have a clue to answer her as he too was conflicted, his inner feelings swirling....It was mixed. He had wanted to see her again but he didn't know what to do. He was conflicted and at odds with himself. He wasn't acting like what he usually does and only when it comes to her, he acts irrationally and spontaneously.
He didn't expect this at all either...Yet, deep down he knew that it was probably because of him..
As in the end, his feet lead him to the cafe on impulse.
He initially was hesitant on meeting her again as he felt opposed. But his curiosity got him better.
He rather enjoyed solving puzzles and wanted to get those answers.
She was a puzzle that he wanted to get to know better and to piece things together. He wanted to decipher her.
His resistance instantly dissolved as he laid his eyes on her figure. In fact, his body acted on his own.
