Song: Are you alright?- Lucinda Williams

Trigger warning: This chapter handles horrible injuries that may be disturbing. I would advice not to google any images of the descriped wounds

Rick left when restless shouting reached the cell. He didn't say what was happening before he left, he just went.

"What's that?" Theresa asked, snapping her head to the side.

"Nothing you need to worry about right now because they're handling," Glenn said. "Just help Kyllian."

"What happened out there, Maggie?" Leland asked.

"There were walkers everywhere. Glenn and I got split up from everyone. When we heard Kyllian scream we ran towards the sound. Kyllian was already bit then, and there was someone else there."

"You found people?" Carol asked as she prepared another cloth for Theresa to use.

"First the one, and then another group of inmates," Glenn explained further.

"And they're the ones telling right now," Theresa noted. "That's great..."

"The door's locked," Carl said. "We're safe here. You have to save him."

"We do what we can," Hershel promised. "How's the bleeding?"

"It's starting to slow down, hopefully it will stop soon," Theresa replied. "We're going to need antibiotics."

"And crutches, if he-" Carol added before Lori cut her off.

"When he pulls through."

"Theresa?" Leland asked in a whisper, voice unsteady. He needed to know. She had a sense in telling such things; whether someone would make it or not. She spoke about it sometimes, that moment she could tell somebody stopped fighting and accepted what comes after.

"He's hanging on, dear," she replied, glancing back at him with a sad smile. "He's still fighting."

"Antibiotics is not all we're going to need. Painkillers and some sterile gauze to start with. An IV with fluids wouldn't be misplaced either," Hershel added, still keeping track of Kyllian's heartbeat.

"I'm sure they have an infirmary here," Lori said.

"Then we'll find it," Carol insisted. "And we'll get through this."

"Hershel," Randall spoke up as he returned to the cell. "Rick wants you to take a look at the other guy."

"I'm busy here now," he replied, not even looking over at him.

"He has a wound in his arm. Rick said it was a bullet wound, through and through. It looks really bad, and it smells bad."

Theresa looked up. "Like what?"

"Well..." he scratched the back of his head. "Rotten, sort of like death."

Hershel sighed and stood up. "Glenn, Maggie help me out."

"I can't," Glenn whispered. It was enough for Hershel to know what he meant, so he only left with Maggie.

"Leland, sit down at Kyllian's side and keep track of his breathing. Point it out to me when something changes."

"It sounds somewhat raspy, and fast," he noted, looking down at his oldest child. "That's not good, is it?"

"Not really," she admitted.

"Not really," she admitted
