Evangeline was as bubbly as ever as she bounded down the halls of Mystical Falls High School. You'd think she'd be much less enthusiastic on the first day of her junior year now that summer was over, but nothing really ever seemed to dim the bright light that she constantly carried.
Vanna excitedly bounced over to her three best friends, Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie. She smiled widely as she pulled Elena in for a hug, "Oh, sweetie, I'm so sorry about what happened." She said softly, her southern accent making her statement sound even sweeter, "If you ever need anythin', you know where to call."
Elena shared a small smile with the girl, the blonde was always such a compassionate person, she was lucky to have a friend like her. "Thanks, Vanna, I'm doing okay though." She said greatfully, though it was clear she was putting up a facade.
Within a moment, Evangeline felt her arm being tugged by Caroline, she was always on the move. The two blondes were two peas in a pod, best friends from the moment Vanna moved into town. "Have you heard?" Caroline asked her excitedly.
Vanna's eyes widened, those were her three favorite words. She and Caroline knew everything about everyone, if someone needed gossip, they were the source. "No, heard what?" She asked with wide excited eyes.
"There's a new guy." She began excitedly, "Tall, dark, mysterious, the whole package." She said rapidly, "Like, Edward Cullen? I think yes." She paused and looked behind her friend, "Look, there he is now!"
Evangeline's grin spread across her face as she turned around, the two of them immediately locked eyes as she smiled and waved lightly, him returning the favor. "Shut up! He totally just checked you out!" Caroline gasped, hitting her friend's shoulder.
Vanna turned around and shook her head, "I'm sure he was just being friendly. Everyone's probably been gawking at him all morning."
______ Vanna stood next to a huge bonfire with Caroline and Elena, it was the annual Mystic Falls back to school bash, and the three girls couldn't have looked cuter. Elena quickly left them to go talk to Bonnie, which was common. "I think I'm gonna get going, Care." Vanna smiled, she'd already been there for two hours. "I'm not feeling so hot." She admitted.
"Aw, Vannie, c'mon don't leave me." Caroline drunkenly begged, holding her best friends arm tightly as she swayed.
Vanna didn't drink, she was a good girl and she was proud of that fact. She laughed slightly at her friend's clinginess and dragged her over to Bonnie, Elena, and...the new guy? "Hey, guys, I've gotta jet, please take care of Caroline for me." I said, mainly asking Bonnie, who Caroline quickly latched onto.
"I'm Stefan Salvatore." The new guy quickly and surprisingly introduced before she left, holding out his hand. He couldn't help but feel a strange sense of commitment to her, something about that smooth as honey accent lit something in his brain immediately.
