What an exhausting week. Lucy felt like she had aged twenty years in just a mere seven days but she had come to the realization that she cannot wilt away like this. She had to move on from this terrible situation and loss or else nothing good would come for her. She's already dropped five pounds due to her not eating anything but liquids and a bite here and there. Her eyes were dull and she obviously looked like she shouldn't be bothered.

Erza is a very persistent (forceful) and protective woman. It nearly took everything out of her to convince her not to actively hunt down the man who shattered her heart and gut him alive. Which for a normal person would be hard but for Erza?

Which meant she had to accept the alternative and that was a night out at a dark, loud club with copious amounts of alcohol and one too many bad decisions.

And she was really about to allow Erza to go gut him so she didn't have to show up at a nightclub one week after a heartbreak.

It was bad enough she had people who were out to snatch her away and had her fathers men tailing her every second of her day. She had to go out and party with her friends and have them witness her horrid nights and breakdowns.

Luckily they were smart enough to not antagonize her when she had clearly been a wreck.

She didn't want to be out and pretend as if nothing was wrong but the gut wrenching guilt she feels when she shows up to see Erza had invited others to join grew stronger. Probably an intervention she conspired behind her back and seeing how Cana was part of the group definitely made their goal pretty clear.

Last time she drank with Cana was when she met... him.

Lucy let out a hiss while waving her hand rapidly out in front of her, trying to push past the burning sensation that slid down her throat and instantly warmed her already flushed body. She was never much of a drinker and some people would consider her a lightweight with her track record. Hence, the reason why she strayed away from consuming such large amounts but desperate times call for desperate measures.

"You are adorable," Cana beamed at the blonde, leaning over the bar counter to see her better from beside Erza. "Still see you can't hold your liquor."

"I honestly don't know how you do." Lucy said before her body jolted with a hiccup. "I feel so warm."

The little group erupted into fits of giggles as they had ordered yet another round of shots from the busy bartender over the counter. Music echoed through the large dark rooms, strong lights and a large disco ball spinning in a circle to create a beautiful dotted atmosphere. A crowd of bodies took up the dance floor, bodies grinding and bumping against one other in a cloud of heat and sweat.

It made her feel a bit disoriented from the flashing lights and haze and the alcohol sure as hell wasn't helping her.

Cana had no shame on shoving drinks down everyone's mouth and she was sure Levy was looking a bit too red. Erza was just babbling and that's how everyone knew when she was tipping the edge but nobody ever knew with Cana. Mirajane happened to be the one woman who was either incredibly sober or incredibly blasted. Clearly she was fine with how she calmly sipped her ginger ale but kept her sharp eyes teetering around.

Knowing her brother was somewhere in the club patrolling the premises, it brought a source of calm within the group.

Once in a while Lucy is able to relax in crowded social settings. Though, she can't say she had been experiencing a lot of unease until her recent events... she knew her team was as strong as they could be. Guess that came from the loss of him.
