Chapter 7

Adele's POV

Harper and Diana ended up winning the challenge which is why Archer is still whining about them winning, claiming they cheated. Did they? I guess we'll never know.

It was late night we all had already eaten and we decided to watch a movie. All that was left to decide on was the movie.

"A HORROR MOVIE!" Aphie called out which earned protests from Harper, Diana, Romeo and David.

"Pussies." Archer muttered to himself but I heard it which is why I slapped him on his neck.

"You guys decide I'll go get snacks when I get back and you guys still haven't decided I'm choosing." I told them which caused even louder protests from the kids.

"Mother I love you truly I do but you always end up choosing Mamma Mia or something Avengers." Archer told me which made me playfully glare at him.

"Ok Mr let's watch Grown Ups for millionth time."

"IT'S A GOOD MOVIE!"

"TRANSFORMERS IS BETTER,age of extinction to be exact." Xavier said.

"Nu uh scream the first one with Billy Loomis." Aphrodite wistfully said which made David look at her weird.

"MOANA!" Harper and Diana sounded out together which made Cruz groan out in frustration.

"You have made me watch that too many times." Cruz said which made all the other boys including David to nod.

"There's no such thing as too much Moana." Harper said sassily which made Diana hold up her hand for a high five to which Harper responded to.

"I lowkey agree." Aphie mumbled out.

"It's Easter we have to watch some thats familial." David reasoned out but was met with glares and I just shrugged my shoulders.

Then I suddenly gasped which made David step to me and hold me by my forearms.

I stepped away from him and said, "The penguins of Madagascar." Which made everyone pause and think seconds later there was noises of agreement.

"What after that?" David asked and the kids looked him and gave him a look of "dude cmon do something"

"You choose dad,mummy already chose a movie it's your turn." Aphie told him which made him sigh and look at me but once again I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Uhm how about Star Wars revenge of the Sith?"He said a bit unsure.

The girls and I all Chorused an excited, "YES!" While the boys nodded in approval.

"Alright you guys go change while I get the snacks ready." They all nodded and rushed while David came with me to help get the snacks ready.

The penguins of Madagascar was over we were halfway through Star Wars when the kids started to gradually leave but Diana and Harper fell asleep on the couches.

"You take Harper I'll take Diana." I told David the second the movie ended and he nodded.

We were walking up the stairs with our girls in our arms,they shared a room so I don't know if this was going to be complicated or not.

"Which side does Harper sleep on?" I whisper to David who shrugged in response and I glared at him.

"How can you not know?!" I whispered shouted at him to which he gave me a deadpanned look.

"What side does Diana sleep on?" He asked me sarcastically and rolled his eyes. I paused because I couldn't remember.

"It can't be that deep." David said loudly and I shushed him.

"Do inky pinky ponky?" I told him and he gave a look that said are you serious.

"Why should I do it?" He asked softly this time and readjusted Harper in his arms.

"Because I'm dying here my arms are going numb."

"And mines not?" He said and rolled his eyes AGAIN. Sassy men apocalypse.

"Shut up just do it you wasting more time." I told him and he sighed and nodded. He did it by bobbing his head from side to side. He looked like an idiot. Diana ended up on the right with Harper obviously on the left.

We quietly left the room and shut the door softly. I was right my arms are numb I can no longer carry my little girl for long periods of time.

"I need to go to a masseuse."

"Don't be dramatic. Cmon I'll make us tea and then we can go to bed."

"Shut up. I'll take two teaspoons of sugar." I told him and headed towards my room.

"And where are you going?" He asked with his hands on his hips, see sassy men apocalypse right here.

"To do my night-care routine, what do you expect to sleep without having soft skin?" I rhetorically asked him and rolled my eyes and he just waved me off and headed towards the stairs.

"Hurry up."

"Shut up."

We were sitting on the kitchen stools opposite each other drinking our tea. We were both too tired to say anything. That was until David sighed loudly.

"What?" I asked him and he just sighed further and put his head and in his hands. "David seriously what's wrong?"

"I've been having problems in my marriage Adele the same fucking problems over and over. I don't know what to do." He said which made my eyes go wide cause on socials they were so loving. It's giving PR relationship trope.

"Did you cheat on her also?" I asked him and laughed a bit but stopped when I saw his look. "Ok sorry I'm only joking calm down. Why don't you go for relationship therapy?"

"I've suggested it before but she just went on a rant how I'm looking for problems in our relationship which I'm not. She makes a big deal with everything if I just smile back at woman she fights. She fights when I want to go visit my parents says I'm using it as an excuse to cheat on her. Or when I simply just make a mistake."

"Ok one question, are you cheating on her?" I asked him and rested my chin on my palm as I waited for an answer.

"No never. I would never cheat on her." I knew he was talking about his problems but that hurt in a way I can't explain.

He must've seen a look on my face cause he further sighed, "Adele shit I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that."

"No it's fine I get it. Maybe you should see a therapist individually and get advice there because I don't think I'm the person who should be giving you advice." I told him and got up and quickly put my cup in the sink, said a quick goodnight and made way to leave.

"Wait Adele please." He said as grabbed a hold of my hand and intertwined our fingers, I wanted to yank my hand away but I don't want to make it awkward tomorrow. "I'm sorry not just for what I said but for what I did to you."

"It's years too late to have this conversation, David it's over it's ok." I told him and smiled to try and reassure him. I gave his hand a quick squeeze and went to my room before he could say anything further.

David's POV

Why did I say that fuck. I could practically see her face fall with sadness. How do I keep on messing up with her and she always just smiles and says it's ok. Fuck.

I just miss when she could give me a genuine smile without our children being around. I just miss us.

I just miss her.
