Interception

"What?!"

Heishasha seemed to not hear clearly at first. He quickly scanned the face of the young man with a ponytail before turning around sharply and asking in a low voice, "Which one?"

"The one holding the cardboard box with the buzz cut."

The ponytail guy pointed his finger, focusing on a crowd in the distance that was busy packing up, his voice growing more certain.

"Damn it!"

Heishasha threw the half-finished cigarette he was holding onto the ground, his face betraying a mix of anger and joy. He spat on the ground and exclaimed, "I've been looking for him for days, and he's right under my nose today."

The person the ponytail guy pointed out was someone Heishasha had seen several times tonight. He had even been impressed by the graceful moves of this person while they were acting as a stand-in for a pretty boy actor, joining the crew in applause.

"Brother Sha, I'll go get him for you right now."

Several of Heishasha's underlings immediately prepared to head over to the film set.

"Wait."

Heishasha raised a hand to stop his men, gently shaking his head. "Don't act here; get in the car first."

Understanding the connection between the film crew and the money laundering operation, the underlings complied without question, following Heishasha back to the car parked nearby.

"Everyone check again for anything we might have missed. If there's nothing, we can leave."

On the film set, the production staff, responsible for various tasks, verified the equipment one last time. They called out to the department heads, and soon vehicles loaded with equipment and crew began to drive away from the dock.

It was now midnight. Even in a bustling city like Hong Kong, the noise gradually faded into tranquility after a long day.

After parting ways with the film crew's vehicles, the slightly drowsy Yutou Xu sat in the driver's seat of an old Toyota, yawning. He turned to the passenger seat where Yang Chu sat, looking for a conversation.

"Chu, you're really cut out for this job. Not only are you quick on your feet, but you're also sharp-witted. Even Quan, the cameraman, wants to take you under his wing. I'm telling you, he's quite skilled."

"Yeah."

Yang Chu replied softly. He had learned a lot during his time with this film crew today, noting that several industry big shots were involved in the movie being filmed.

He found the film production process—managing schedules, setting scenes, and performing—quite fascinating, as it was complex yet involved a degree of creativity and artistry. However, he hadn't seriously considered pursuing a long-term career in the industry.

"By the way, do you want to grab a late-night snack..."

As he casually chatted, Yutou Xu was cut off when a bright light suddenly flashed in the rearview mirror, squinting his eyes.

"Who's driving so close with their high beams on?!"

Yutou Xu shouted irritably.

A car had inexplicably come up behind them, following closely and suddenly turning on its high beams.

Yang Chu leaned slightly to the side, glancing at the car behind them through the rearview mirror. "Xu, let them pass."

"Good idea."
