(Hey creeps and freaks.😼✨ I'm making a new chapter based on the request of @AdamSmith028. They requested KobyLu and I might've made it fairly longer on accident bc I couldn't stop writing, I also favor this ship a little more, so enjoy 😼✨)
The sun hung low on the horizon, painting the ocean with shades of gold and crimson. A gentle breeze ruffled the waves, as the Thousand Sunny sailed steadily through the Grand Line, carrying its crew toward their next adventure. Luffy, with his trademark straw hat tilted jauntily over his eyes, leaned over the side of the ship, his heart light with anticipation.
"Hey, Usopp! Are we almost there?" he called, eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Not yet, Captain! We still have a few hours to go!" Usopp replied, adjusting his slingshot and keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of land.
As they sailed, a familiar ship appeared on the horizon. The Marine vessel glided closer, and Luffy's grin faded slightly as he recognized it. The ship bore the insignia of the Marines, and among its crew was none other than Koby.
Garp's voice echoed across the waves as he spotted his grandson. "Hey, Straw Hat! I need to have a word with you!"
Luffy turned, his curiosity piqued. "What's up, Garp?"
As Garp approached, he waved Koby over, the young Marine looking hesitant yet determined. "Listen, Luffy. I need to leave Koby here for a while. There's been some trouble with pirates nearby, and I want him to stay safe with you."
Koby's cheeks flushed slightly, his gaze drifting to the deck. "I... I don't mind, really," he stammered, his heart racing at the prospect of spending time with Luffy, the pirate who had once inspired him to dream bigger.
Luffy beamed, giving Koby a thumbs-up. "Great! The more, the merrier!"
As Garp departed, Koby stepped tentatively aboard the Sunny. The crew greeted him with their usual warmth, but Koby felt out of place amidst their vibrant camaraderie. Still, Luffy made an effort to include him, dragging him into games and sharing stories of their adventures.
Days turned into weeks, and Koby found himself adjusting to life on the ship. He trained alongside Luffy and the crew, his determination igniting a spark of admiration within him. Luffy, with his infectious laughter and unwavering spirit, drew Koby in like a moth to a flame.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a pinkish hue over the water, Luffy and Koby sat side by side on the ship's deck. The atmosphere was relaxed, the sounds of the sea enveloping them in a comfortable silence.
"Koby," Luffy said suddenly, breaking the stillness. "Why did you become a Marine?"
Koby hesitated, looking out at the ocean, reflecting on his journey. "I wanted to protect people. I thought that being a Marine was the best way to do that."
Luffy nodded, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "That's cool! But you can protect people in lots of ways, right? Like me!"
Koby smiled shyly, his heart swelling with admiration. "Yeah... I guess you're right."
As the days passed, Koby's admiration blossomed into something deeper. He found himself stealing glances at Luffy, captivated by his carefree attitude and the way he fought for his dreams. Luffy was a force of nature, and Koby couldn't help but feel drawn to him.
One night, the crew celebrated under a starlit sky, laughter ringing out as they shared stories and food. Koby, sitting slightly apart, watched Luffy interact with his friends, a warmth spreading through his chest. Luffy's joy was infectious, and Koby felt a longing to be closer to him.
