(Welcome back to Chapter 3, try and guess what I mean by blades and hearts. That's right Creeps and Freaks, I have decided to write LAWZOO 🖤💚, in request of @GraceGallegos085. Love you man. Not sure about this ship. Sorry if the chapter isa little too similar to the first one, my ass is tired and cannot think of anything more, so sorry. 😼✨)
It was a quiet night aboard the Polar Tang. Trafalgar D. Water Law, the calculating and composed captain of the Heart Pirates, stood at the helm, gazing out at the sea. The moon was high, casting a silver glow over the water, the waves gently lapping against the submarine. The tranquility of the moment gave him a rare moment of peace, something that came few and far between in the treacherous world they sailed.
However, despite the calm of the night, Law's mind was anything but. He couldn't stop thinking about him-the swordsman from the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro. It had been months since they had first crossed paths, but every time their crews worked together, Zoro always left an impression that lingered longer than Law cared to admit.
Zoro had been an enigma at first-silent, brooding, and fiercely loyal to Luffy. But beneath that exterior, Law had found something even more intriguing: a man of unparalleled strength, unwavering resolve, and, most surprisingly, a sense of honor that resonated with him. Law prided himself on his distance from others, on keeping people at arm's length, but with Zoro, something was different. Something about him managed to slip through Law's guarded defenses. It annoyed him at first. But the more time he spent around Zoro, the more he realized it wasn't annoyance at all.
He was drawn to the man. And not just as an ally.
Meanwhile, on the Sunny, Zoro sat cross-legged on the deck, sharpening his swords. The rhythmic sound of whetstone against steel had always been a calming ritual for him, a way to focus his mind. Yet tonight, no amount of sharpening could clear the thoughts in his head. His hand moved automatically, well-practiced, but his mind was elsewhere-specifically, on the enigmatic Heart Pirates' captain.
It wasn't like Zoro to dwell on things. He was a man of action, not reflection. But Law had a way of sneaking into his thoughts, uninvited and unwanted. They had fought together, side by side, and there was a certain thrill in it that Zoro hadn't felt with anyone else. Law's cool demeanor, his sharp intellect-it all intrigued Zoro in ways he didn't quite understand.
He respected strength, of course, and Law was undeniably strong. But this was different. There was something else at play. Something that made Zoro's heart beat just a little bit faster when Law was around. At first, Zoro thought it was just the thrill of battle, the rush of adrenaline. But even during the quiet moments, when Law wasn't fighting, Zoro found himself watching the man.
He wouldn't call it admiration. That wasn't his style. But still, there was something about Law that pulled at him, a tension that Zoro couldn't quite shake.
Their paths crossed again during an unexpected meeting in a small town on an isolated island. The Straw Hats were there for supplies, and the Heart Pirates were nearby, refueling and doing maintenance on their submarine. It was a quiet, uneventful day, the kind of rare calm before the storm that came often in the New World.
Zoro and Law found themselves alone, walking the narrow streets of the town. Neither spoke for a long while. Zoro was never one for idle conversation, and Law seemed content to enjoy the silence. But there was a weight between them, an unspoken tension that had been growing for months. It was only a matter of time before it would come to the surface.
"You seem distracted," Law finally said, his voice cool and measured, though there was an edge to it. "Something on your mind?"
Zoro glanced over, his usual scowl in place, though there was no real bite behind it. "You're one to talk," he shot back, eyes narrowing slightly. "You've been staring off into space since we got here."
