It all started 5 years ago.
In A small town called Riverdale.

It's your first day of school. Your Sophomore year of highschool. You just arrive in Riverdale. It's.. smaller than you're used to. You're from the big city; you're used to buildings as far as the eye can see, not.. a small town, that looks more than well loved. It's divided into 2 parts, the 'North' and the 'South'. They're both equally scary. Would you be a Northsider, never allowed to step foot in the southside without someone with you for extra protection, or would you be a southsider, being forced to mixed with gangs like the Southside Serpents? Both sounded equally unappealing. But that wasn't your decision to make. Your parents made that decision for you.

Your verdict:
A northsider.

Your parents had this giant, luxurious apartment building in this small town for some reason. I mean, I guess it was a good thing you didn't have to move into one of those worn out houses, right? That would've been hard to get used to. Atleast you're coming from your roots. Your parents's penthouse was better than nothing.
It was 5am. You've found yourself wide awake, unable to stop thinking about school. What would the other kids think of you? Would they want to mix with some rich kid like you? What if they think you're a pretentious snob?

You'd find out soon enough.

Chapter One. Hey Chris, You Were Our Only Friend.

You walk into Northside High, feeling your legs quiver at the sight of all the kids. You looked down at your schedule, a crumpled up piece of paper with all your teachers printed out on it, along with your locker number. Your eyes blank between the paper and the all the kids, and you just finally bit the bullet, walking forward.
You scan each number across the walls for your locker number, 27. You finally find it. But.. there's kids standing infront of it. You frown. Jeez, did you really have to talk to kids this early in the morning? This was a nightmare.

"Hey, uh.. that's my locker." You gently say, tapping the shoulder of the guy standing infront of it. You brace yourself for the interaction, scared of it going horribly wrong.

"Oh, sorry," The boy would say, flashing you a smile. He had bright blue eyes and brown curly hair. He gently moved out of your way, gesturing his group of friends to do the same. He just tilted his head a little, grinning at you as you put in your locker combination. "Are you the new kid, Y/N?" He would ask, seeming interested in getting to know you.
"Uh.. yeah." You shrug, shoving your books and all your things into your locker. You turned back around to face him. "Joe Trohman," He said, smiling at you. "Word gets around quick whenever theres someone new in town. We don't.. exactly get new people here that often. Everyone freaks out when people move into the Pembrooke. That means there's like, some big deal person here. It's especially surprising to see someone like you mixing with us." He shrugged, his eyes looking you up and down, as if analyzing you. "You can hang with our crew for now. We've been really bored since Chris just.. disappeared."

This catches your attention. Disappeared? What was that supposed to mean? And who was Chris? You found yourself getting intruiged.

"Who's Chris?" You ask, tilting your head. You see all their faces contort into an expression of what seems to be discomfort. "Uh.." Joe just shrugged again, not really knowing how to explain it. "Chris was our friend, but he just quit coming to school. Whenever we try to check on him we can't find him. His house looks like it hasn't had anyone live in it for months. It's like he just dropped off the face of the earth or something." Joe said, letting out a soft sigh. He seemed to have a look of longing in his eyes. It's clear he missed his friend. Joe made eye contact with you again, trying his best to smile. "But hey, it's okay, you can be our new Chris," Joe said, reaching out to ruffle your hair. He paused for a moment, before he spoke again. "You should probably meet the guys," He said, turning around. "This is Pete and that's Patrick. Andy is over there," He pointed, giving another shrug. "Pete doesn't like people that much, so uh.. be careful when talking to him, I guess. This is Patrick, he's a bit shy but he'll warm up to you eventually. Same with Andy." He grinned. Pete rolled his eyes and Patrick gave you a shy smile.

"And why are they in our group?" Pete hissed, crossing his arms. "They can't just replace Chris." He said, obviously disproving of you. Joe glared at him. "Shut up, dude," He said to Pete, snapping at him. Pete just let out an annoyed huff, but obliged, and shut his mouth. You just frowned. He clearly didn't like you very much and that made you feel a bit insecure. Joe noticed this and immediately did something. "Hey, hey, look at me," Joe said, gently tilting your head up to look at him. "It's okay. Pete doesn't like anyone. Don't get all insecure on me." He said, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear. He seemed to be admiring you. Pete just snorted. "You can't flirt with every person you see, Hoe-seph," Pete grinned mischievously, shrugging. "It's clear you have a little crush, Joey. What? Are you gonna let them join our band next?" Pete mocked, his eyes burning holes into Joe. "Talk to me when you have this sorted out. No way in hell i'm talking to this snob." Pete mumbled, walking away to the library. Of course he was going to the library. That was his stupid little safe haven. Joe just rolled his eye's. "Wanna go to Pop's after school? We always go," Joe offered, shrugging. He couldn't take his eyes off of you for some reason.
