The new Marauders were strolling down one of the long corridors of Hogwarts, their laughter echoing off the stone walls as they made their way toward the Gryffindor common room. It had been a good day—no classes, just hanging out and talking about their plans for the next Quidditch match. Edward walked in the middle of the group, listening to James and Luke banter about who would score the most points against Ravenclaw.

But as they passed a group of Gryffindor girls, Edward noticed something odd. They all turned their heads, giggling and whispering to each other as he walked by. Edward raised an eyebrow, feeling a few more eyes on him as they continued down the corridor. Every girl they passed seemed to glance his way, some smiling, others whispering as they shot him a look.

“Alright,” Edward muttered, frowning slightly as he glanced at James. “Why is everyone looking at me?”

James smirked, glancing at Luke before turning to Edward with a mischievous grin. “Oh, you haven’t noticed, have you?”

“Noticed what?” Edward asked, a bit confused.

“They’re staring at you, mate,” Luke chimed in, his voice full of amusement. “You’re officially the *handsome* one out of the Marauders.”

Edward blinked, his expression caught between surprise and disbelief. “What? No way. You’re messing with me.”

James chuckled, clapping a hand on Edward’s shoulder. “Seriously. You’ve got that whole ‘tall, dark, and mysterious’ thing going on, and apparently, the girls have noticed.”

“They’re all talking about you,” Luke added, grinning. “You’re like the Marauders’ very own heartthrob.”

Edward’s face flushed slightly, though he tried to shrug it off. “You’re joking.”

“Trust me, I’m not,” James said, still smirking. “Ever since you started growing taller last summer, and your hair started doing that windswept thing, the girls have been taking notice. You’ve got that ‘brooding Chaser’ look going on.”

Luke snickered. “It’s true. You’re like the poster boy for mysterious Gryffindor charm.”

Edward glanced over his shoulder, noticing yet another group of girls sneaking glances at him and whispering to each other. He couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward now, unsure how to react.

“Well, that’s... unexpected,” Edward said, rubbing the back of his neck. “And weird.”

James grinned. “Hey, don’t fight it. It’s not like it’s a bad thing.”

Nate, who had been walking quietly beside them, finally chimed in, laughing. “Yeah, mate. Just embrace it. Who knows? You might even get a few love letters by the end of the week.”

Edward groaned. “Great. Exactly what I need.”

Sam, who had been listening with an amused expression, added with a teasing smile, “Better you than us. You’re the one dealing with all the attention now.”

“Yeah, no pressure,” James teased. “But if any of them ask, we’ll just tell them you’re busy practicing your ‘smolder’ in front of the mirror.”

Edward shoved James lightly, though a grin broke through his embarrassed expression. “You lot are never going to let me live this down, are you?”

Luke grinned back. “Not a chance.”

As they continued walking down the corridor, the Marauders couldn’t stop laughing, the banter bouncing between them. Despite the teasing, Edward couldn’t help but shake his head, still a bit bewildered by the realization that he had somehow become the new Marauders' “handsome one.”

“Well,” Edward said, his tone lighthearted, “at least now I know why everyone’s been staring.”

“See?” James said with a smirk. “You’ll get used to it.”

Edward rolled his eyes, but the grin on his face was unmistakable.
