A YEAR LATER.....

The waves gently rolled onto the shore, the sky a brilliant sunset of purples and pinks as Aaliyah stood on the soft sand in a white lace gown. Her heart fluttered in her chest as Dayvon, dressed in a sharp black suit, walked toward her with a smile that made her knees weak.

His eyes locked with hers, filled with warmth and love. They stood under an arch of roses, the ocean breeze brushing lightly against their faces, the world around them silent, as if time had stopped for just the two of them.

Dayvon reached out, taking her hands in his.

"Aaliyah," he began, his voice low and filled with emotion

"I've loved you since we were kids, since the first moment I saw you in that classroom, arguing with me over something as simple as a school project. I always admired your strength, your passion, and the way you carried yourself with such grace, even when life threw challenges your way."

Aaliyah's heart swelled as she listened to him speak, every word wrapping around her like a warm embrace. Dayvon continued, his gaze never leaving hers.

"I've waited for this moment my entire life," he said softly.

"I used to think I wasn't good enough for you, that you deserved someone better. But now, standing here with you, I know that you're the person I've been waiting for. You complete me in ways I never thought possible, and I promise to love you fiercely, to stand by your side through every storm, and to never let a day go by without showing you how much you mean to me."

Tears welled up in Aaliyah's eyes as she felt his sincerity, his words filling the empty spaces in her heart that had longed for him. Her lips trembled as she prepared to speak her vows, her own heart ready to spill the feelings she had kept hidden for so long.

"Dayvon," she whispered, her voice shaky with emotion.

"I've always seen you as more than just a friend, more than just a boy I grew up with. You've been my rock, my protector, and the person I've always been able to count on. Even when life took us in different directions, I never stopped thinking about you, never stopped wondering what it would be like to be standing here with you."

Dayvon squeezed her hands, his thumb gently brushing over her knuckles as she spoke.

"You've always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself," Aaliyah continued. "And now, standing here with you, I know that my heart has always belonged to you. I promise to love you with everything I have, to cherish every moment we spend together, and to never let go of the bond we've shared since the beginning."

Dayvon's smile widened, and without a word, he leaned forward, his lips brushing gently against hers in a tender kiss that sent a shiver down her spine. The world around them faded, and all that mattered was the love they felt in that moment.
