That evening, Aaliyah met up with Tyrone at a cozy restaurant downtown. He smiled warmly as she sat down, his charm radiating as always.

"I've got something big planned for us this Saturday,"

Tyrone said, his tone hinting at excitement.

"I'm sending you some money so you can get a dress and whatever else you need. I want you to look your best."

Aaliyah smiled back, appreciating how thoughtful he was. She enjoyed Tyrone's company he made her feel special but lately, something tugged at her heartstrings, especially after that vivid dream about Dayvon.

After dinner, she returned home, her mind still racing from Tyrone's announcement. She needed to relax, so she opened Instagram, scrolling through the usual posts from friends and influencers.

Out of curiosity, she typed in Dayvon's name. It had been so long since they had spoken, but she wanted to see how he was doing.

His profile popped up instantly, showing him thriving as a rapper. He looked too good if she were being honest. Aaliyah couldn't help but admire how successful and confident he appeared. Without thinking, she liked one of his pictures a candid shot of him laughing with his crew.

Thirty minutes later, her phone buzzed.

Kingvonfrmdao has followed you.

Her heart stopped for a second. It had been so long since they had any contact, and now, here he was, following her back. Aaliyah stared at the notification, unsure of how to feel. Was this just a coincidence, or did Dayvon remember her too?

The next morning, as she walked into work, she was greeted by Honesty's excited energy.

"Girl! Guess what!" Honesty practically squealed.

"What?" Aaliyah smiled, already knowing it was something about her Instagram escapades.

"Dayvon replied to my DM! He said.

'Thank you, you're pretty too,'" Honesty said, waving her phone around like she'd won the lottery.

Aaliyah forced a smile.

"That's great," she said, trying to hide her own swirling emotions.

She hadn't told anyone about her history with Dayvon, and now it seemed like he was slowly creeping back into her life, even though she wasn't sure she wanted him to.

Later that day, after work, Aaliyah decided to head to the grocery store. She needed to stock up for the week, and she figured it would take her mind off things. She walked through the aisles, grabbing the usual staples fruits, veggies, and snacks for the week.

But as she shopped, her thoughts kept drifting back to Dayvon and the time they had spent together. She could still remember how he used to say he wanted to be a father someday, how good he would be with kids.

Aaliyah finished shopping and decided to make a stop at the local orphanage where she volunteered. Every week, she spent time playing with the kids and helping them with their activities. It was one of her favorite things to do it gave her a sense of purpose and joy.

As she walked in, the kids' faces lit up.

"Aaliyah! We saw you on TV! You looked so pretty!" one of the little girls exclaimed, tugging at her hand.

Aaliyah smiled, bending down to give her a hug.

"Thank you, sweetheart. You're pretty too."

She sat down with the kids, playing games and helping them with their drawings, but her mind kept wandering back to Dayvon. He had always talked about wanting a family, and now here she was, surrounded by children who adored her. The irony wasn't lost on her.

By the time she left the orphanage, the sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the city. Aaliyah walked to her car, her heart heavy with emotions she hadn't expected to feel.

She loved Tyrone, but Dayvon's sudden reappearance in her life was stirring up old feelings feelings she wasn't sure she could suppress much longer.

As she drove home, she wondered what the future held. Would she be able to continue her life with Tyrone, or would Dayvon's presence complicate everything she had built? Only time would tell, but one thing was for sure Dayvon Bennett was back, and her heart wasn't ready for it.

As Aaliyah drove home, her mind continued to race. She tried to shake the thoughts of Dayvon and focus on Tyrone, but the pull was undeniable.

When she arrived home, she paced around her living room, glancing at her phone every few minutes, hoping for a notification from Dayvon. She wondered if he remembered her as much as she remembered him.

That night, as she sat on her bed, she opened Instagram again, hesitating for a moment before going back to Dayvon's page. His life looked so different now, but there was something familiar in his smile, the way his eyes sparkled in every picture.

She liked another one of his posts this time, a picture of him in the studio. A part of her was proud, but another part felt that familiar pang of longing.

Tyrone had been nothing but good to her, but Dayvon represented unfinished business a piece of her past she hadn't fully let go of.

She sighed, setting her phone aside and pulling up her laptop to finish some work for the night. Her modeling classes had been taking off lately, and she needed to prepare for the next week's lessons.

As she worked, her mind wandered back to the kids at the orphanage earlier that day. Their excitement reminded her of her own childhood, the dreams she had of becoming a top model, and how she'd imagined her life would be.

She thought about the life she was living now, balancing her career, her relationship with Tyrone, and the occasional memories of Dayvon that seemed to creep back at the most unexpected times.

The next morning, Aaliyah woke up feeling more determined than ever. She was going to focus on her life in Chicago and put the past behind her.

She had a good man in Tyrone, a thriving career, and a new chapter to build. As she walked into the modeling agency, she greeted Honesty with a smile, ready for another busy day.

But as soon as she sat at her desk, her phone buzzed again. It was a message from Durk, someone she hadn't spoken to in a while.

He had always been part of the circle with Dayvon, and now, seeing his name pop up made her heart race.

Durk: "Yo, it's been a minute. How you been?"

Aaliyah stared at the message for a moment, unsure of how to respond. She knew this could easily lead to more reminders of Dayvon, but she also couldn't ignore the fact that these people were still a part of her life, even if it was from a distance.

She decided to keep it casual.

Aaliyah: "I've been good, keeping busy. How about you?"

As the day went on, Aaliyah tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept drifting. She thought about what Tyrone had planned for Saturday night and how much she appreciated his thoughtfulness.

But even as she tried to immerse herself in the excitement of the upcoming night, she couldn't help but wonder what Dayvon's sudden reappearance in her life really meant.

Was it fate trying to tell her something? Or was it just a coincidence? Either way, Aaliyah knew her heart wasn't going to let this go so easily.
