Jakes POV

Her grandpa walks in and scowls. I squint to see the name on his badge. Ofiicer DePoi, not Emma's last name, he must be Emma's moms dad, thats why he's 'protective'. I make a mental not to call him DePoop for not saving Emma.

He looks at me, "Well Mr. Jake O'Brien, why are you following my Emma?"

"Well Officer De... DePoop? Interesting name."

He scowls "This asshole kid thinks hes funny, jerkoff."  The jokes on him because I can hear his thoughts. "Its Officer DePoi. Don't act funny." He saids out loud.

"Officer DePoi I was not following her, I was going to the park."

He stares at me. I would check his brain but Emma's thoughts fill my mind as Officer DePoop starts talking. "That feeling is gone now, he is the same wiedo he was before. Same old quiet, loner, beautiful Jake. No STOP. I am not attractied to him."

My heats stops. Does she like me? "You know what, just leave." Officer DePoop has ended his speech.

"Thank you!" I run out. Emma is there when I burst through the door. I try to avoid her, my shyness taking over.

"Jake," She walks tword me. "I'm sorry."

My body shakes, a layor of sticky sweat covers my hand. "It's..." my words gets caught in my throat. "It's okay." She flashes a pearly white smile and dimples form at the end of her glossy lips. She runs off without another word. I guess the whole liking me thing has passed.

I stand motionless for a second. My phone rings and I read the screen "Mom". I growl and answer.

"You were arrested!" Dang her visions.

"Mom, no it's not like that."

"Well Jacob O'Brien, what happened?"

I sigh and explain the whole 'he let me go' thing.

"Well, I want you home now. It's nearly dinner time!"
