Seungmin's POV

All he felt was searing pain coursing throughout his body. It was excruciating and he could do nothing to ease it, couldn't even move. Why couldn't he move?

His entire being felt weighed down, as if being restrained while he was tortured with the worst pain he had ever experienced in his life. He couldn't even find the strength to open his eyes, lying there in darkness as he felt every nerve in his body on fire.

All he wanted was for the pain to stop.

He could feel every muscle relax once the pain finally subsided, the smell of something so deliciously sweet filling his senses. Like ripe berries and vanilla. It had his mouth absolutely watering. He still couldn't move though, his body like lead, holding him in place.

And that's when the hunger pains started.

Y/N's POV

She couldn't help but snort out a laugh at the look on Mingi's face. Adorably confused.

"It's nothing." Yunho tried to brush it off, but his bright pink ears gave him away. "Well, sounds like there is food ready, so let's head over to the common room." He rubbed the side of his neck nervously as she climbed off his lap and headed towards Mingi, who held the door open, motioning for her to walk through.

"After you, mamas."

She raised an eyebrow at that, a smirk curling her lips. Her eyes flicked back to Yunho then back to Mingi before passing through the door. She could hear their muffled argument back-and-forth as they stood in the doorway still. She zoned out of whatever their quiet discussion was about, already having a decent idea anyway, picking up the key question from Mingi. "That was her?"

She followed her nose towards the smell of food, noticing overhead lights were on in the common room, while there had only been candlelight in their actual dorm room. That confused her a bit, but she'd ask about it later. At the moment, her focus was solely on the ramyeon she could smell.

"Oh, I guess congratulations, appa Yunho."

That statement was not quite as quiet as the rest of their conversation, and had quickly been followed up by a sharp smack and then a yelp as she looked back, watching Mingi rubbing at the back of his head.

"What did I do now?"

The two shared harsh whispers as she crossed her arms in front of her chest, watching them with a smirk on her face. Once the pair noticed her staring, they stopped, meeting her gaze.

"Don't stop on my account. It's adorable watching the two of you bicker like an old mated couple."

Her smirk dropped as she watched both their faces redden and stare at anything that wasn't her or each other.

"Shit." She grimaced and dropped her arms to her side, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. "Didn't mean to embarrass the two of you, didn't know that was going on, especially with...everything from the room.."

Mingi finally looked to Yunho at that, raising a brow in question. The blonde man simply pushed the other's face away from his own as he glanced to her shorter frame.

"We aren't officially mated..exactly..but we are together. I was too shy to ever actually talk to you in person before, but I.." he looked down at his hands, seemingly trying to work up the courage.

"This big idiot has been pinning for you all semester, going on and on about how pretty and soft your hair looked," Yunho lunged at the man, his face bright red as the two struggled against one another, Yunho trying to shut him up and Mingi trying everything to keep spilling his companion's secrets. "How amazing you smell, which you absolutely do by the way, how tiny your hands were and how they would look wrapped around-"

Yunho finally got ahold of the red head, his hand clamped down around the man's mouth to keep him silent. Their eyes shifted towards her as she loudly and obnoxiously slurped the ramyeon noodles, having sat down and started eating at the beginning of their little spat, getting dinner and a show.

The blonde alpha let out a startled yelp, yanking his hand back and wiping it down the front of his shirt. "Did you just lick me?!"

"You've never complained before."

With a snort, nearly choking on her noodles, Y/N covered her own mouth as she chewed and swallowed the bit she still had. Mingi had a wide, shit-eating grin on his face as he stuck his tongue out briefly.

"Besides, it's your own fault. All I was going to say was that you wanted to see what her hands looked like wrapped around your arm. Clearly you had other things in mind if you were afraid I'd say something dirty."

He smirked at the man before turning his attention to the omega as she spoke. "Pretty sure he's already got a good idea of how they'd look anyway. I know he's watched me work on my pottery. Same way I know you're a lucky man, Mingi. I've seen how his fingers move." She met his grin with one of her own, watching as he snapped his head back to Yunho.

"Oh she's just perfect Yun, we are so keeping her!"

Mingi's POV

He and Y/N hit it off quick as they all ate. It didn't take long before they were laughing with one another and joking around as if they'd known each other for years. She was sweet, funny, and holy shit did he love hearing her laugh. It was a big part of why he kept trying to joke with her, wanting to hear more of it. Eventually, the conversation shifted a bit with a question from her.

"By the way, I was wondering why you're only using candles in your room if you've got the lights working?"

He tried to stifle his laughter at that, causing Yunho to give his shoulder a smack.

"Would you quit hitting me?" He pulled Yunho into a headlock and with a very smug grin on his face, he spoke up. "Lover boy, here didn't want to wake you with the bright lights. He thought just a few candles would be better."

Yunho grumbled before pushing him off, flashing him a glare that held no actual heat behind it.

"Oh, come on, it was sweet! You'll woo her just like you woo'd me.

He shot the blonde a wink while the other merely huffed and tongued the inside of his cheek.

"Oh yeah? What about you? Practically smitten already."

Mingi's eyes flicked over to Y/N, his gaze softening as he met her own, a soft smile curling his lips before he glanced down. He took her hand in his and when she didn't attempt to pull back and instead held his gaze, he brought her hand to his face, gently kissing her palm.

"I can't deny there's already something there for little mama, here. But I can't decide things all on my own."

He watched as she stared at her hand being held in his. "I hadn't really entertained the idea of having a mate with everything that's going on. I do have others I care about a lot that I'd like to try and find again. But I'm not opposed to seeing how things go between the three of us so long as you're both fine with this not being something exclusive. But more love for me and the pup coming doesn't seem like such a bad thing."

Surprisingly, Yunho was the one to speak up, offering a sort of reassurance.

"With the rest of the world crumbling, having a larger pack would be a pups best hope for a better future. We can try to find the others you were with in the morning if you'd like. Just know, there's no pressure or anything, but we'd like to be able to be added to that list of those you care for."
