Wooyoung's POV

It was as if everything was in slow motion. Seungmin and Y/N tumbled to the ground, with her ending up right in front of a couple undead. Both San and Changbin had to keep him back so he wouldn't rush in, only putting himself in danger too.

Didn't stop him from trying though.

The others around him were already dealing with the zombies that had quickly surrounded them, forming a protective circle with him in the middle. Chan kept pushing forward, seemingly trying to get to Y/N and Seungmin, but he wasn't going to make it in time.

Seungmin was once again on the ground, trying to fend off a pair he had forced away from the other omega. As his own gaze shifted to her, his heart dropped into his stomach.

He knew that look.

Frantically, he shook his head, bottom lip quivering as if attempting to form words but unable to get any sound out. His fear becoming reality, he tried once more to get to her, only to be grabbed by the waist and picked up by San. He could do nothing but watch and beat on San's back in protest while she ripped off her scent patches.

In that moment, every single head snapped in her direction. It would have been the perfect opportunity to slip by the others, if he hadn't been in San's tight grip. He wasn't sure when he started crying, but he could definitely taste salty tears on his lips as he yelled her name. Wasn't like there was a point in keeping quiet anymore anyway.

He struggled against his mate's hold on him, watching helplessly as she took off running, the quickly growing hoard right on her heels. The rest of the undead nearby chose to ignore them completely in favor of the sweet smelling omega, the others running to Seungmin's aide while San set his feet back on the ground and tried to console him, but he was hearing none of it.

With Seungmin standing, arms covered in blood and grime, they all looked to where the hoard had gathered in the distance. It was hard to tell with the distance, especially while his eyes were blurry with unshed tears, but they could see her climbing and being pulled onto the balcony of one of the dorm buildings down a ways.

"Plans haven't changed, let's hurry and move before they all start making their way back here."

Wooyoung looked at Chan as if the alpha had struck him, pain and grief clear on his face as he shook his head. "Wh-what? No! No, we..we have to go get her. We.." he was quickly cut off by the very man he argued with.

"She's safe in one of the alpha dorms, with at least two others who can help keep her safe for now. She knows the plan, she'll likely come to us as soon as the dead clear out." The man let out a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck and looking towards their intended destination. "Look, I get that you love her and want to keep her safe, but you can't do that if you go charging over there and get yourself killed. That hoard isn't going far any time soon, so why don't we at least get to the omega dorm like she wanted and clear out any dead still inside so it's at least safe when she does get to us. Alright?"

Chan's logic was sound, but it didn't make Woo feel any better knowing they were leaving without her. Still, it was clear no one was going to just let him go. He was right anyway, Y/N would be there as soon as she could.

He squeezed his eyes shut, rubbing them with the heels of his palms while biting down on his bottom lip. Trying his best to hold back a whimper, he groaned before taking his hands off his face. Looking between Chan and San, he glanced back down at the ground and gave a small nod. San grabbed onto his hand, intertwining their fingers as the group hurried off.

Before they could reach the front door, they slowed to a stop as three figures stood between them and potential safety. Wooyoung and San lit up with excitement at the sight of one of their friends. "Sangie! Fucking hell am I glad to see you're ok." Woo rushed forward, as did the beta in question, pulling him into a tight embrace before looking him over as well as the others that stood beside him.

Yeosang had on jeans and a thick, black sweatshirt, and a crowbar hanging off his belt. His long blonde hair was tied back out of his face which left the birthmark near his left eye on full display. It had clearly been a while since he dyed his hair last, the dark roots growing out quite a bit. Not that he's get a chance to re-dye it any time soon with how everything was anyway.

Woo recognized the other man next to his friend, though the name escaped him. He was tall and slender with elegant features. Tall for an omega, but gorgeous without a doubt. He lived in the same building as him and Y/N, just a couple doors down on the same floor.

Glancing down, he noticed the man had a freaking sword in his hand! Where the hell did the guy get a sword? Like an actual sword? Not that the shorter man beside him was any less intimidating with that wooden baseball bat resting against his shoulder, long nails having been hammered into it so the points were sticking out on the other side and making it a much more lethal weapon. Cuts just above his right eyebrow and across the bridge of his nose and an icy expression making it clear he was not one to mess with.

"Everyone alright? We heard the howls." It was the omega who spoke up, all eyes on him while it was Chan that Woo looked to.

It was, in fact, Chan you responded for the group as a whole. "Ran into a pack of undead, one of ours led them away so we could get out of there. She's the one you would have heard." The alpha met his gaze, his expression showing concern and guilt. "We know she's safe in one of the buildings further down and will no doubt meet us here since this was where she planned for us to go."

Nodding, the tall man looked to the shorter one on his left. "We should keep someone on lookout down here in case she comes. Can try to keep the area clear of any dead."

The shorter man eyed Chan, glancing around at the others before turning his back to them to head inside. "Come on then, let's get inside."

Yeosang followed the other man inside, Wooyoung and the others passing the tall man but stopped and looked back as the omega spoke. He had raised the sword in his hand, the side of the blade pressed against Seungmins chest.

"Not you, you're infected."
