Coral never though she would see her village cuffed, walking in a line, slowly realising that - it's the end. Every time she glanced at any of king's soilders, she could see only cold, dark, and unnerving gazes. There was no mercy nor kindness in them. None.

"She had to survive" her family thought in sync. Even if it would be a risk so save her, they would do it.

For her.

For the kindom.

Nezha ran, scurrying trough the forest, holding the kid close to his chest. He had one mission right now: Protect her.But sadly he isnt the only one in Evergreen Timberland.

Right on his tail he could hear sounds of running hooves, and a bunch of them. Air that was filled with humidity earlier,  now felt cold and heavy. Nezha also noticed figures of darkness behind him, he swore under his nose when he did.

- Crap, theyre faster then I though...- His head span to check behind to make sure. Coral did the same and shrieked in fear, clutching the bag in her hands tightly. Nezha's ear twitched again; they where getting ready to shoot their arrows at him.-Im not gonna make it, they will catch up...- Prince mumbled to himself, looking for a way to lose dark soilders.

But then, a glimpse of hope appeared right infront of him-a cave! That should be enough. As he ran, he dodged a arrow right on time, however Coral yelped at that, getting really terrified of the chase.-Just hang in there.- Nezha whispered to her before entering the cave with a sharp turn.

Cave was small, but long enough to hold a dozen of people. Nezha placed Coral down and hid the crystal in her bag for her, kneeling infront of the girl.-Get inside the cave, do not make a sound, Im gonna stop them.-

-W-what?-She gasped in suprise,-But-

-Dont argue kid. Just hide.- The prince said with a tone of finallity and worry in his voice. He was clearly worried that something might happen to her. Before leaving, Nezha took a last moment to glance over her before turning towards the entrance.

Coral hesitated, but nodded in understanding and quickly scurried inside the cave, hiding behind some mossy boulders. Meanwhile, entrance was approached by king's soilders, riding black as ink horses. Every each one of them had a cold and calculating gaze, no mercy or good intentions behind them.

Their leader stopped them, raising his hand in a commanding gesture. Horses stopped at his command and Nezha only could stand his ground. The leader wore obsidian and jade armour, a feathered helmet, his eyes covered. His beard was dark shade of grey, obviosly he was older then his soilders.

Nezha summoned his spear, that made him look taller then he actually appear to be.-What are you doing here!?- He exclaimed in a firm tone, stepping before the cave, blocking it.

Soilders didin't look phased at all, only staring back unblinking- Move aside Lotus Prince. The little one belongs to the king.- Their leader said in a cold tone.

That statement made Nezha even more annoyed than he already was. -Over my dead body you will get her!- He yelled, clenching his fists.

Even so, the leader only chuckled at that. - You and your noisy guardian friends are foolish if you think you can cross the king's path. He will eradicate you and your families like grain of sand.-
