Glory sat on top of the big tree she went to when she was feeling down. Every since Jade Mountain opened and her friends left she felt sadder. Sure, the annoyed her sooo much but they were the dragons she grew up with. And yeah, she had the RainWings but it wasn't the same.

The only dragon who made her feel happy (so happy she has to TRY not to turn pink like Jambu) was Deathbringer. He always cheered her up even if he was a crazy assasin!

But that night the Night the NightWings were getting on her case. She knew most of them hated her and wanted her dead. But they are moving their camp more into the Rainwings territory. Which even though the RainWings were peacefull- so unlike her- they were getting mad and strangely, Glory didn't know what to do.

The sun was just setting when she heard wingbeats behind her. She turned to see Deathbringer. Once again she had to fight to keep her scales dark.

"What are you doing up here so unprotected?! Well up until I got here that is..." He said kinda nervous.

"I had to get away for a bit. The NightWings are really irritating me."

"Does that include me?"

"Only if you keep trying to protect me!" I said hitting him with my wing as he settled down next to me.

" yeah but still! No protection! I heard that there is another assassination plot."

"Oh yeah so you are gonna follow me everywhere cause "nobodies better at stopping assassins than the worlds best assassin!'"

"I love it when you quote me." Deathbringer says. Then he looks serious for a change. "Can I tell you something?"

I just look at him and nod, creaped out by how serious he is being.

"I-I want you to know that I... ummm. Think about you all the time and and always worried about you being killed or something. And I love the way you laugh and just how you are. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me and I want you to know that I... I love you."

My eyes were wide. He LOVES me???

He looked at me. I am just so shocked that I can't even talk. Every second that passes heis face falls more. And more.

"I mean I just had to tell yo--"

I cut him off by wrapping my talons around his neck and lean into him.

"I love you too."

He smiles and so do I.

We sit there mostly holding each other up as the sun dips below the horizon...
