THUD

Boxten jolted awake, hearing the loud thud on his door. "It's so late.. what could anyone want at this time?" Boxten walked up to his door, peering at the dimly lit halway. Surprisingly, nobody was there! Was it just another ding-dong ditch? Did Toodles stay up too late to do that?

His gaze drifts down..

"Scraps..?"

A scream erupted from Boxten's room, cutting through the quietness within the night. The yell so loud it caused some toons to rush out of their room.

"What happened?? What's wrong with Scraps?!" Finn asked, his eyes were wider than ever. Boxten shook in fear, looking at the fish bowl. "I don't know, I don't know! She was like this when I opened the door!"

"YOU EXPECT US TO BELIEVE THAT?" Shrimpo yelled out, raising a fist towards the cowardly toon.

"Back off, Shrimpo!" Brightney said, shoving Shrimpo away from Boxten. "We need to help her before pointing fingers!"

A cluster of toons crowded Scraps' unmoving body. Mumurs and concern filled the air. Goob swung the door open after the many attempts of trying, his eyes were barely open. "Hey, what's going on..?" The craft toon asked

"She's.. She's not breathing.." A toon said, their voice was trembling with worry. Goob is still confused. He walked over to all the commotion, his heart sank when he pushed through the crowd.

"Sis..?"

He knelt down, staring at Scraps, tears began to well up in his eyes.
He looks around, watching the toons staring silently. "Why aren't you guys trying to help??"

"Goob She-"

"Help her! She's still alive!"

Tisha was immediately cut off. Goob's voice cracked, his claws trembling while he picks her up. "She can't be gone, She can't!" The craft sibling began to sob, his tears falling down onto Scraps' still body.  He holds her close, giving her one.. final hug.

Vee watched from a distance, clearly unfazed by the chaos surronding the cat. But her attention shifted elsewhere, noticing someone at the corner of her eye.

Shelly?

Vee quietly slipped away from the commotion, walking up to the ammonite who stood nervously away from the scene. As Vee approached, Shelly got startled, her eyes darting toward the TV head before quickly looking away.

"She's avoiding my eyes?"

Vee questioned quietly, watching the shell try to distance herself further and further away.  "Everything okay?" Vee asks, breaking the silence between the two.

'I guess I don't really have anyone else to talk to.' "Yeah I'm.. fine." Though her tone told a different story

"This whole thing just makes me so worried." Shelly paused "I kinda knew Scraps, I knew a lot of people liked her. She never held grudges against anyone."

"I just feel like if there's someone here.. taking such innocent lives. I fear that I might die here too.. or watch my friends die before me."
