A/N:

This is my first story on Wattpad! When I started writing this, I kind of sucked at story planning, but I am already halfway through my second story, which is 100x better (Many people have told me it's much more interesting and intense). That being said, please bear with me on this one, and the next one will be here soon!

Feeling less than hopeful, I lug my suitcase on the old bus and prepare for a four-month stay at Campers Hollow, a grief camp retreat my therapist recommended I stay for the summer, in Cluj County, Romania.

Great, I think. It's going to be a long drive. Getting onto the bus, I sit on the left side in a row of four empty seats. From what I can see, about seven girls and eight guys are on the bus. Across the aisle, there's a girl with wavy-curly light brown hair and headphones, wearing black sweatpants, and a gray D-backs T-shirt. Something about her makes her stand out from all the other girls and boys. Maybe it's her hair or her eyes, or it could simply be the way she holds herself. Whatever it is, it ticks me off. She suddenly glances at me, catching me staring and I turn away quickly. She raises her eyebrows and turns back toward her window, putting her headphones in.

Another girl steps on the bus. I recognize her from the youth group I go to sometimes. What was her name? I think as she looks around for a place to sit. Oh yeah, I remember. It's Chlo. She has curly, dirty-blonde hair tied up in a high ponytail. "Chlo, over here!" I wave at her and she smiles when she notices me. She comes down the aisle and sits next to me, wearing a GAP sweatshirt and jean shorts.

"Hey Victoria," She says. "I didn't know you were going on this trip?"

"Yeah, me neither," I say. "Have you been here before?"

"No, this is my first time. My therapist recommended that I go here."

"Oh, same. I'm going to hate this."

"Yeah, I wasn't that excited about it."

The bus lurches forward as I pull out my phone and headphones, opening my netflix downloads.

I wake up hours later to someone shaking me awake.

"Victoria we're here!" Chlo scream-whispers

The sky looks like the beginning of a sunset as I walk to retrieve my bags from the bottom of the bus. I look around for a few seconds. We're in a small clearing in the middle of a forest with crazy-tall trees, and there are five small cabins- two on each side, and one small, sketchy-looking one with boarded-up windows a little farther into the trees. Chlo is already walking towards a small crowd of people, and I run and catch up to her.

"Is this the whole camp?" Chlo asks when she sees me.

"I think so," I answered. "It doesn't look very promising."

We join the crowd and the group organizer assigns us to our cabins.

"I hope we get in the same cabin," I say, crossing my fingers.

"Gunnar, Jacob, Connor, and Carson, are in the first cabin." Announces the group organizer. "Now, before I let you go, I have a list of fun things for you all to do before it gets dark." She gives each of us a slip of paper.

"Daevon, Colin, Jayden, and Gavin in the second."

The guys unwillingly pick up their bags and walk to their respective cabins.

"Now for the girls. In cabin four, we have Chlo, Sam..." I cross my fingers tighter.

"...Mckenna and Grace," My shoulders drop.
