Chapter 2:Ramshackle Dorm

Chapter 2: Haunted Dormitory

(Y/n) sighed as she with the help of Florges, Talonflame, Primarina, decidueye, raichu, and tsareena. She cleaned the dorm common room as well as a bedroom for her to use. "Hmmm this building is too unstable for my heavier pokemon... Maybe mudsdale and gigalith can dig out a lake for the water types... And alolan nintails can make an icy area... Ughhh why did I have to get stuck in this dump." Florges gently put a hand on the girls head. "Flor florges Flor" (Y/n) nodded "you're right florges we have to make the most of this. Maybe solgaleo can get us out of this with an ultra wormhole?" "Florges!" "Yeah... Damn it! Well we can't do anything tonight." (Y/n) and her team as well as some of the baby pokemon sat in the common room. "Huff huff. Finally back on campus and out of the rain!" (Y/n) stood up. Only for the intruder to be marauded by baby pokemon. "Ahhh little beasts!!! Release the great grim at once!!!" (Y/n) laughed a bit before Florges shooed the babies away. "Found your way back on campus huh, Grim." (Y/n) said trying to be civil with him. "Hah? Human!" (Y/n) shook her head. Ya know you could be a little more grateful I haven't kicked you out yet." The trainer stated bluntly. "Ohhhh new friends." "Stay here forever" (Y/n) stood up to watch 3 ghosts show up. "We've been alone for so long." The trainer whistled. "froslass! Chandalure!" The two of her own ghosts showed up behind her. "Chandalure! Hex!" The Chandler's eyes glowed and the ghosts made various noises of fear.  "Froslass! Ominous Wind!" A strange wind picked up behind froslass scaring the ghosts away. "We better scatter before we disappear for good!" The trainer sweat dropped. "Oh boy... Actual ghosts... This is gonna be a long night." When the sun rose again (Y/n) woke up to knocking at the front door. She went down stairs with Froslass. When the trainer opened the door she saw the headmage. "You do know that there are various dinosaurs and dragons outside?!" She sighed. "Yes. They are all mine. What do ya want?" The headmage cleared his throat. "I.. Why is the monster from the opening ceremony here?!" "Oh I let him bunk from the rain. Tenacious little guy found his way back on campus. Any who what did you want?" "Ah yes! I would like you to clean the school. Not all in one day. Thats too much. Merely want you to clean the main street today." (Y/n) sighed. "Ight fine." "And don't bring any of your dinosaurs and dragons... " "yup." When (Y/n), grim, froslass, florges, Persephone, and Malamar made it to the main street the first thing she noticed was the statues. "Hey. Whos this mean lookin auntie here?" Grim asked. "That's the queen of hearts? You didn't know." A boy with a heart over his eye and wild red hair approached them. And to (Y/n) he was kinda cute. "The queen of Hearts ruled over a land of chaos by placing strict rules on her people. One mistake and you would get beheaded." (Y/n) shivered at the thought. "Yikes... Are these like famous people from your history?" "Yeah!" The boy responded. "Even this lion with a scar?" Grim asked. "That would be the king of beasts. Although he wasn't born a king. He had to take his position." "So a usurper?" (Y/n) responded as she patted her Malamar. "Well... Uhhh. Oh! This is the great sea witch!" The boy quickly changed the subject. As the boy began to explain to explain the other statues Florges was looking at the statue of another queen. "that would be the Fairest Queen." Ace explained. "Flor..." "What is it Florges?" "Florges flor?" (Y/n) nodded at her pokemon. "What did it say?" Ace asked looking at the flower pokemon. "She was asking about the Fairest queen." (Y/n) responded. "Ah she was very determined. Every day she would ask her mirror who the fairest in the land was and if someone else was said she made sure that it wouldn't happen again. She was also very good at making poison." Florges took a (step?) back from the statue. "Yeah... Don't like the sound of that..." Eventually Ace broke out into laughter. "Ah man I can't keep this up any more. You make a big show and the entrance ceremony and don't even end up as students! That's so lame" He laughed. "Tsaree!" Before Persephone could attack (Y/n) placed her arm out to block her pokemon. "Ace. I suggest you keep your mouth shut before Persephone shuts it for you." (Y/n) said. "Oh please as if that flower lady could scare me." "Okay I warned you. Persephone. Trop kick." The Tsareena kicked Ace causing him to go skidding down the main street. (Y/n) picked up grim. "Good day ass hole." (Y/n) said as Persephone glared at Ace. "What ever it's not like you could ever be students here anyway." Ace said. Trying to bait them. Unfortunately grim took the bait and started using his fire magic which Ace pushed around with his wind magic. (Y/n) realized it was going to hit the statue. But before she could have froslass push it back it hit the queen of hearts statue. "Uh oh..." She said softly. Ace tried to run off but Malamar used psychic on him. "What is going on here?!" Crowley said as he arrived on the scene. "I'll tell you what happened. This kid was being a jerk and baited grim to use his magic then used his wind magic to push it back and ended up burning the Queen of Hearts statue." (Y/n) said as she glared at Ace. "What's your name and year?" "Ace Trappola 1st year" he said. "Are you trying to get expelled? Well your punishment is to wash 100 windows." "Wait me too?" (Y/n) asked. "Yes you too!" "Ughhhh fine. Froslass if you could help me clean the statue." "Frosss" Froslass used blizzard on the statue and grabbed a rag from the bucket that (Y/n) was carrying around for cleaning and cleaned the soot off the statue. "Thank you. Hmmmm I don't think I've ever seen the statue sparkle like that." Crowley said as he looked at Froslass's work. "Might be leftovers from blizzard. Good work froslass." "Lass!"
(Time skip)
"Why we gotta wash them windows! He started it!" Grim complained. "That's because you continued it when Persephone finished it. Is it just me or is he late? He better not ditch us." After waiting some time and Ace still not showing up she knew he was ditching his cleaning duty. "Alright let's find him." (Y/n) ran off to one of the first year classrooms. "Huh? No ones here. " "how rude I'm here. " "yikes!" Grim clinged to her leg. "That painting talked!" "I have lips. Therefore I can talk." "That's not how it works in my world. But pardon me." (Y/n) gave a curt bow. "I'm looking for Ace Trappola. First year. We have cleaning duty and he's trying to skip it." (Y/n) said. "Oh a girl! Pardon my rudeness. I believe he was headed toward the mirror chamber." "Thank you so much. Malamar head him off!" "Mar!" She quickly ran after her pokemon. "They must be crazy if they think I'm washing windows. I'm headed back to my dorm." "Malamar foul play!" "Mala!" Malamar knocked the boy down. "Holy shit you are crazy!" As (Y/n) chased after him. She ran into a blue haired boy. "Do something! Anything! He's trying to escape cleaning duty!" "Uhhh. Something something. Oh! I summon caldron!" And a black caldron dropped on Ace. "thanks! You ain't getting outta this so easy Ace. Persephone? If you would please." Persephone stepped on his back as the caldron dissapeared. "Get it off of me" "nah Tsareena will step on fallen opponents to gloat. And it's what you get for trying to get out of cleaning! Wait? Where's Grim? Damn it! Get your ass up your helping me catch him!" They found Grim in the cafeteria on the chandelier. Deuce tossed Ace but the chandelier couldn't hold their weight. "Malamar! Psychic!" Malamar caught the chandelier but not Ace and grim. "Okay. Um let's put it back and hope the headmage doesn't find out." Ace said "find out about what? What did you do!" "Don't worry! Malamar can put it back!" (Y/n) said. "That is not the point! This chandelier had a magic stone that made the flames never go out but now it's broken and may never light again. You are all expelled!" "Wait please surely we can do something! I can't be expelled on the first day!" Deuce said. "Well you could go to the dwarves mine to find a new one. Hmm very well I will give you till morning to find one. Or you will be expelled." (Y/n) turned to Malamar and gave him four of her pokebalss. "Malamar I need, nidoking, mudsdale, noivern, and obstagoon." Malamar nodded and teleported back to the dorm.  They all looked in shock. They gathered at the dark mirror. "Dark mirror take us to the dwarves mine." Deuce called. The mirror rippled as they entered appearing in a new place. "Okay you three I don't know what we are about to get into. Go Noivern!" Out of the pokeball pops a large green bat. "Let's get this over with. Noivern use your echolocation in cave." "Vern!" As they wandered in the champion felt something set off her nerves as she put her arm out to stop the boys and noivern flew deeper. "Something doesn't feel right..." (Y/n) grabbed Nidoking's ball. "MINE!!! The... Stone.... Mineeeee!" Some inky creature slinked out of the darkness. (Y/n) sent out Nidoking. She already knew she couldn't use Earthquake it would bring the cave down on top of them. "Nidoking! Fire punch!" Nidoking's arm lit up with fire. And it almost felt lit nidoking was wrestling with the monster. Noivern flew back with something in its talons. "Nooooo! Stone mine!" "NOIVERN! BOOMBURST!" (Y/n) yelled as sonic waves shot from the soundwave pokemon's ears. The monster swung still knocking the item out of Noivern's talons. "That must be a magic stone." Deuce said. "Can you two do something other than just watch!?!" (Y/n) yelled which startled the boys into using their magic.  The monster ended up still pushing them back. "What was that thing?!" "Maybe it's like a guardian?" (Y/n) shook her head. "No. I don't think it is... It felt... Wrong..." She sent out the rest of her pokemon. "We need to form a plan." After devising a plan she sent mudsdale in first. "High Horsepower!" Mudsdale bucked the creature sending it tumbling back. "MY STONE!!!" The creature roared. "Noivern! Fetch!" Noivern dove in and grabbed the stone. And when the creature tried to grab him it was met with Obstagoon's obstruct. "Alright let's get outta here. Make sure it can't follow us out! Nidoking! Earthquake!" The ground shook as nidoking slammed his tail down. The cave collapsing. "We did it!" Ace and Deuce highfived each other. "Nice to see you two getting along~" (Y/n) said with a laugh. "Wait. No... We aren't." "Let's get this to the headmage so y'all don't get expelled." When they made it back to the school with the stone the headmage looked surprised. "Oh my... I didn't think you'd actually find one. And I finished the expulsion paper work." Obstagoon snarled at him. "Too bad we found one now let them back into school." "Of course... Ahem... Grim could you come here for a moment. And suddenly grim had a collar on with a stone like the boys pens. "wait. Does that mean." Grim looked surprised. "Yes. But while we can't have a monster in the school by itself you and Ms. Surge will act as one student." (Y/n) had a smile on her face. "From janitors to students in one day! Hex yeah!" "You all are free to return to your dorms." To which the werey students did just that.
