They started flying the next day and arrived at the beginning of the silk bridges. They paid their toll of one gold coin and started their journey across the vast ocean. They flew for a couple hours but then got tired and had a lunch break at one of the deserted islands around 200 feet away from the bridge. A few minutes passed, they ate and watched dragons passing by.

"Hello," The younger silkwing, who seemed to be around the same age as Destinymaker, said cheerfully. "Why are you going to the other continent?"

"We're going to Jade mountain academy," responded Destinymaker's mom.

"So am I!" Shrieked the young Silkwing quietly, a bit too enthusiastically for the young hybrid. She realized that the dragon did not have wings. So she is young, maybe her age or younger. She definitely has not gone through her metamorphosis yet.

"Hi, I am his mother and my name is Eucalyptus," said the older leafwing, nervously. "She is in the hybrid winglet and her name is Maple."

The young dragon's wings twitched in excitement. She seemed.. Perhaps too hyperactive. But who was Destinmaker to judge?

"Sooo, you're in my winglet?" Asked the small black mindreader. She seemed quite... interesting... now that she saw her up close. It's funny how one doesn't see the details until later.

She looked into the future and saw that there were no bad outcomes from being her friend. They chatted for a little while before they realized it was becoming dark. Before Destinymaker could say anything however, her mother invited them to hang out for the night. Because the young black dragonet did not pack an extra tent, she took some vines, planted them and grew them into a sturdy little shack for the night.

She sighed in relief. Once she was finished, she decided to rest. Shoulders laxed, she looked out into the sunset on the beach. The sky was tinted pink and orange, the water reflecting it perfectly. The sand was warm and moist under her talons. She looked as the sun slowly set on the beach, in between two tall, majestic palm trees filled with coconuts.

"HELLO!!!" Screamed somebody, very close to her.

Destinymaker jumped. "Why did you scare me like that!" She screamed at the young, energetic Silkwing.

"Sorry," she whispered guiltily, coming to sit down next to her.

Destinymaker liked her a lot more when she was quiet and peaceful. They chatted for a little bit but soon started goofing off. They decided to play "truth or truth" and Maple went first.

"Have you ever had a crush?" Maple asked Destinymaker mischievously.

"No," She responded honestly.

"Aww don't be shy." Maple said in a taunting tone.

"I'm not lying. I really don't have one," she said calmly

"Yeah right like I would believe that, you have to be lying, who wouldn't want to hang out with you?"

"I don't like sarcasm," she growled, a little angrily.

"I'm not being sarcastic," Maple said calmly and truthfully, but with a taunting gleam in her eyes.

"I met a few people who have had a crush on me, but none of them were my type," She said matter of factly. "Ok, you know what. Who is your crush?

"I will not answer that," Maple said, with visible discomfort and stress.

"If you keep on asking me questions then you have to answer them."

"Okay, fine. I don't have any crushes, but my type is... well, I like girls. But before you answer I am not..."

"Sooo, you're lesbian?" She said awkwardly. Does she have a crush on me?

"I was about to say I am not lesbian. I'm trans but everytime I try to tell someone, nobody listens. Apparently I'm not "tough" enough to be a boy, so whenever I mention it people laugh and say "Ha-ha, what a good joke." She - whoops, HE sounded very annoyed and angry.

"Well thanks for telling me, also... I have a question for you. Do you... do you have... do you have a crush on me?" Destinymaker finally blurted out and they stayed awkwardly, looking at each other.

"No, you're also not my type," He finally squeaked out.

Phew, I don't want to have to turn down another "admirer".

"Well, I need to go to sleep. We have a long distance to travel tomorrow and we don't want to fall asleep over the ocean," a shiver ran down her spine as she thought of the scene. She forced the memory out of her head. She walked into her tent and fell asleep easily and peacefully.

Ok so I have a new plan. I will try to post every Monday. sorry if I do not succeed but I am very busy. Also I was helped by aquatic_dragon.
