Ivy
'14, 15 and 16...' Master Scar finished counting all the people gathered in the main room. 'Just the right amount.'
I slowly turned my head to throw a glance at everyone. Every person in the room stood with their partners, including me. My partner was Nathan ever since we got here together.
Master Scar strolled his way in between every separated pair of people. We were all dressed in our fighting leathers. I wore my wig on every mission. It had a dark green color, in contrast of my real ginger hair.
'I'm going to be quick with the instructions.' Master Scar continued as he finished the stroll across the room and stood straight in front of all the people.
'This mission involves a school. Agents, for the next few weeks or even months you will be disguised as students in this academy.' He stopped and thought for a moment, before continuing again.
'You may have heard it. Its the Bright Horizons Academy.' Master Scar finally sat on his chair. He threw his right leg over his left one and interlocked his fingers. 'There's a planned attack in the school only we found out about and we believe one of the students is behind it. I chose my strongest agent to find them and stop them.'
Everyone stayed silent. The air was thin and quiet.
'You have only today to create a plan. After that you will start going back to school.' He let out a laugh. 'Are we clear?'
All 16 people nodded. 'Yes sir.' We all said together in one voice.
5 minutes passed and all of the chosen agents were gathered in the common area. We all sat down and decided to discuss how the plan was gonna go.
The common area was our room. This is where we all sit down when we're free from missions, or when we have to discuss something.
'I have an idea.' One girl shouted. 'What if we say we are there because of a scholarship.'
'All 16 of us are there because of a scholarship?' I added. 'That's not very believable.'
The girl shot me a glare while another boy spoke. 'Maybe we can say that all of our parents moved here?'
'Again, not very believable. 16 families moving at once at the same place.' I continued. I thought this was just going to be my opinion, but to my surprise more people agreed. When I turned my head from left to right to look at the agents, I saw the girl glaring at me once again.
'Well why don't you give an idea instead of not accepting ours. Isn't this your first mission after escaping jail?' The girl let out an irritating laugh. 'You know, we can request someone to replace you if you're too tired to join.'
I feel disgusted. This girl is acting like she's 13 with her middle school drama, while I'm just trying to teach her how to keep an innocent act.
'I suggest you keep your overlined lips tightly shut for the rest of this discussion unless you want to be the tired one here.' I smiled sarcastically. Laughter erupted out of everyone in the room as the girl really shut up.
I glanced over at the TV when I heard the news were on. The reporter kept a sttaight face as she kept talking about...
The plan clicked right into my head.
Everyone was discussing a strategy while I kept listening to the news from two days ago.
'Guys!' I yelled. 'A school exploded two days ago!'
Everyone's face lit up. 'Yes! You're brilliant, Ivy!' A few people said as they all threw their arms around me in hugs.
The jealous girl shot a few glares before rolling her eyes and turning away from the gathered agents.
Soon enough, everyone was minding their own business getting ready for tomorrow's mission. Me and Nathan were both sitting on a couch in front of the TV. We were catching up on these three days. He told me about his time while I was in jail and I was laughing and talking about my time there.
I heard my name. Ivy Cross. Then I heard the words 'jail' and 'escaped'.
My eyes shot towards the TV where I saw a news reporter standing next to...
... my mugshot.
'Authorities are currently searching for an inmate who escaped from the country jail late last night. An inmate with the name 'Agent Poison Ivy' managed to break free from her cell causing a massive manhunt in the surrounding area. The escaped inmate is described as 5 feet 8 inches feet tall with dark green hair.' The reporter kept talking and talking as both Nathan and me were turned towards the screen.
'Will you turn that off?' I asked him. 'No. I want to see.'
'We will continue to provide informa-' I threw my knife right into the TV stopping the reported mid sentence.
It hit right in her head.
''Hey! Why'd you do that?'
'I told you to turn it off, didn't I?'
Nathan scoffed and got up. He walked away for a few seconds, leaving me sitting on the couch with a stabbed TV screen.
Its a good thing I had my wig on in that mugshot. If I didn't, the feds would caught up with me by now.
The real reason I threw my knife was because it gave me bad nostalgia. It reminds me of my father.
