The infinite blue skies unfold above me; its vibrant but silent hues are masked behind the forest crammed with tall, dark trees stretching out until a point where what comes next is a mystery. Unlike the weather, the music choir of nature is as busy as ever. The whispers of the wind echo a fading swoosh as they are accompanied by stronger gusts which brush against the leaves, causing them to shake and rustle like they're dancing to the beat of life. A bird chirps in the distance and a cricket sounds its greetings.

Standing beside a tree of my own, I cast my gaze upon the ground below. That is-a chaotic garden. From large rocks and tiny pebbles, to weeds and beautiful flowers, there is no short of nature in this paradise.

I make a few steps around the place I was teleported in as I rattle my head about what had happened. I take a deep breath, filling my lungs with fresh air unlike the usual poison gas I'd experience back in Tokyo.

I wonder how the teleportation magic works...

I flip out my phone and fiddle with it for a moment. It's only natural that there won't be any reception while we're on the island, but what's important is the map I saved earlier. The moment everyone got teleported to Torishima, the First Selection had already begun. And with that, comes the need for meticulous planning and preparation.

According to my watch, I'm at C3

According to my watch, I'm at C3. The area north of me should be nothing but a cliff over water-a promontory to be exact. I'll probably be encountering a lot of them so I should be careful. Like everyone else, my first priority should be to form a Trinity and look for supplies. After I've ticked those off on my to-do list, then I can start worrying about points. That means going west wouldn't be of much benefit, which leaves me with two options-south or east.

If I'm right, then going southeast should lead me directly to a small lake, and then a much larger one about another 900 meters beyond that. Depending on where everyone else spawned, popular locations on the map would be around D5, or along the beaches like G9 and B6. The area around F5 is quite an obstacle so it's unlikely that a lot of people would think to go there first. In conclusion, there's a pretty high chance I'll run into someone if I go near the lake southeast

Having already come up with a plan, I cut my break short and start making my way towards the lake southeast from this location. As I go through nature's path paved with vines and mud, I keep an eye in front and even at the back of my head for supplies, or perhaps visitors.

After wrestling past several pesky bushes and almost ripping open my backpack, I arrive near the lake. I gently brush the leaves aside and peer through the opening. As I scan the area, my gaze lands on something near one side of the lake.

A box? Or maybe a crate.

It was made out of wood but looked worn out. It's right out in the open, free for grabs. Given the setting, I'd assume there would be supplies inside that crate.
